@jugar would it be possible to move my weigh-in to Monday this next week? I'm going to be out of cell phone range and have no internet access over the weekend. Steps for 5/6: 9,643 Steps for 5/7: 2,123 Oh the last 2 days have been a bit stressful with work, and our stay at home order was extended again until at least the…

Question - I wear my Fitbit during my workouts so it already tracks my exercise steps. Wouldn't that be double dipping to also count the workout minutes in that case?
-
@eggfreak sorry to hear about your soup! I've had similar issues with a groundhog getting into a batch of wild apples I had stored on the sun porch. Wildlife can be so rewarding to have around home but pesky at the same time!

@jugar or @micki48 my steps for 5/5: 6,611 Yesterday turned out well, I chose an ahi tuna tostada for lunch. Delicious and probably the healthiest item on the menu. I also did a Zumba workout on the Wii, which really made me miss the real thing. Can't wait for the quarantine to be over! IF still going well, pretty close to…

@micki48 I hope your head is feeling better soon! Had a concussion once and it was terrible. My steps for 5/4: 8,104. So far looking good for me to up my daily step goal 😀 Did not eat what I initially planned for the day but still made healthy choices and had another great calorie deficit. Tomorrow I am working in the…

@micki48 steps for 5/3: 10,507 Yesterday went well, had a great calorie deficit and lots of physical activity weeding the flower beds. Got my first sunburn of the year 🌞. Ate lots of veggies and protein. Most of my carbs came from veggies or whole grains. Almost stayed within my IF schedule, went over by a half hour before…

I do the same thing! 😔 I do genuinely feel hungrier on my more active days. I'm trying this week to eat back less than half my exercise calories and see how that goes. Good luck to us both!

PW 243.7 lbs CW 244.8 lbs At least it's lower than where I started 2 weeks ago. This is how my body tends to do things, up and down and up and whoosh. Hopefully next week will show a loss! @micki48 steps for 5/2: 7446 Spending much of my day outdoors today, already exceeded my step goal and it's only 2pm ☺ Started…

@micki48 I would like to join the step challenge! My daily step goal is 4250 but if I have another good week I might bump it up to 4500-5000. Steps for 5/1/20: 13,865 (this is much higher than my average) About me - I'm Jackie, age 30, 5'5", ~243lbs (weigh in again tomorrow). I live in Michigan with my husband, our dog…

Well on the plus side I've been very physically active this week, working in the garden and flower beds preparing for planting, and taking the dog for lots of walks. Eating has been okay, I had a couple of really hungry days. May be hormone related? Either way I'm back in the practice of logging everything and trying to…

Yesterday was a snacky day, I was just so hungry, like stomach rumbling hungry. Not sure what that was about but glad to be over it today. I participated in an online pilates class yesterday with a couple of friends (through FB messenger) and it was much more challenging than I thought. Today was a more reasonable food day…

Wow I'm feeling so inspired by you @Terytha ! You are where I hope to be some day, hopefully in the not too distant future! My Tuesday was great for steps and eating until we had birthday cake for a family member's bday. I was planning to say no but did not succeed in that. Roses - I've increased my physical activity quite…

I had a very productive Monday in many different ways, worked in the garden for a few hours and got it rotatilled, made kombucha, did all the house cleaning, vacuuming, dishes, etc., and all the while I listened to 5 hours of trauma treatment training webinars. Ate quite a bit extra but still had a decent calorie deficit,…

@Gidgitgoescrazy have you ever heard of/ tried Kodiak Cakes pancake mix? They're made of whole grains and have extra protein so they don't have the same effect on the body as other pancakes. And they have lots of yummy flavors. Still more carb-y than an omelette but if you gotta have pancakes they hit the spot ☺

I know I don't actually start until May but wanted to share my progress: PW 245 lbs CW 243.7 lbs Recorded my food every day and have met or exceeded my step goal almost every day this week ☺

I do track steps with a Fitbit, do I just post my step goal and daily totals here?

Thank you @jugar !

Hi team! Thank you for accepting me, I've been looking for a support team for a while and I'm so happy a friend posted about this group! About me - I'm Jackie, age 30, 5'5", 245lbs. I live in Michigan with my husband, our dog Oliver, and cat Fiona. I work as a therapist for dual diagnosis clients (substance use and mental…

I use a Fitbit Inspire HR and it works pretty well for the price, and is water resistant which is cool. It does come with annoying pins to change the straps, but if you don't change them too often it's not a big deal. It seems to be pretty accurate, very close results when I've compared it to HR monitors on exercise…

Came down with the flu last week. Mostly over it now but can't shake this terrible cough and shortness of breath, so I'm limiting cardio to walking for now. I've also but IF on hold for the week. SW: 269 lbs (April 2018) 3/1: 238.5 lbs 3/8: 235 lbs 3/15: 3/22: 3/29: March GW: 230 lbs UGW: ~165 lbs 5'5", PCOS, TTC Goals for…

Let's try this again. February didn't turn out how I wanted, my goal was to reach 230lbs, I got down to 233lbs and now I'm back up to 238lbs. I know part of that is water and hormones (medicated cycles-TTC) but I also know I did not eat as well as I could have. SW: 269 lbs (April 2018) 3/1: 238.5 lbs 3/8: 3/15: 3/22: 3/29:…

Today I threw away the ice cream and pizza. I had been doing really well, then we had mom's birthday at my house and I got stuck with the leftovers. The last 3 days have been rough as a result, so this morning I threw it all away. I gotta be honest, pitching that pizza was so hard. But I'm happy I did it.

@svm569 when I first started strength training I noticed weight gain for 1-2 days after. It can be from inflammation of muscles, which is a natural occurrence from strength training. Any time you feel muscle soreness from a workout you have inflammation which can add a bit of water weight. This may be a good time to focus…

Mt. Dew is a syrupy garbage drink. Also, tacos are just okay.

Thanks for the add!! It's helpful to see others with similar goals  It looks like you've made amazing progress so far! Have you noticed cycles regulating yet? I lost 40lbs from June 2018 - October 2019, but still no cycle without medication. I gained a few pounds over the holidays  but have since lost most…

I missed the last couple weeks due to illness and other life factors, but I've since resumed my plans. My goal this week is to exercise 3x and follow IF 16:8 at least 6 days. I'm new to this thread but not new to MFP :) I took a bit of a break through the holidays and have been trying to get back on track. I decided to start intermittent fasting today as I read it can be helpful with PCOS and insulin resistance. My goal this week is to go to the gym 3x and follow IF 16:8 at least 6 days. SW…

Did better this week. I logged everything so that's a plus. Went over calories a few days but stayed under most of the week. Decided to start intermittent fasting today as I read it can be helpful with PCOS and insulin resistance. Scale shows I lost a little bit more this week. Went back to the gym Saturday and my goal is…

Today was my first day of IF, goal is 16/8. It was challenging eating enough calories in such a short window but I'm sure I'll adjust. Tomorrow will be the real test as I'll be at work. Looking forward to weightloss, better craving control, and improved insulin.

This past week was okay, I didn't log every day but I did meet my exercise goal for the week. I have a cold now so I may not go to the gym for a few days, I don't want to spread germs and I also am having a hard time breathing with too much exertion. Overall eating was ok, not great, not terrible. I finally saw a small…
