I don't believe in tax as a means of coercion. Tax is designed to benefit everyone in the society. Even with cigarettes being taxed people still smoke. Any time you have a specific tax on goods it always effects the poorest the most. Also if the goal is to get people to stop doing something the way about it is not coercion…
