I will be 37 this summer and have been overweight most of my life. I was diagnosed borderline diabetic at age 7. I have 3 children and 3 step children. I am trying to get my weight under control so that I don't have to go on cholesterol medications for my birthday.

Hi everyone. I began this journey back in August. I have lost several pounds so far and have plateaued. I need some encouragement and motivation. I have spent the last 5 months hovering around the same weight. I am sick of it.

While my ultimate goal is in the top end of the BMI for my height, decided to set smaller goals to begin with. I chose a number that was approximately half there to be my first goal. I am just starting my journey so we will see how this goes.

I have about 100 pounds to lose. I've broken it in to smaller chunks so as not to overwhelm myself. I would love to have an accountability partner for this journey.
