  • My work continues without stop. I no longer care about weight, the body recomp has been in full swing for 6 weeks now inches falling off in some areas, growing a lot in others and my weight has stayed very stable right around 310 for a month now. My non scale victory is that I am still wearing 3x shirts, but for a…
  • Started at 356 on August 4, currently 314. Working with a team of professionals (doctors, dieticians, personal trainers) my goal weight is 240 but built. Sounds like a lot for a guy who is 5' 7" but already have 20lb more lean muscle mass than my ideal weight on any chart. So my goals are working WITH my genetics, and not…
  • Hi! I am Matt, 40, down about 45 lbs in 13 weeks and highly motivated. I practice DDP Yoga, Enjoy lifting in the gym four days a week and am in the pool two other days. Also am a follower of Jocko Willink. All the exercise and nutrition in the world is great, but pales in comparison to the mental battle and the importance…

  • No longer need a belt extension as I non-Rev around the country :)
  • I do DDP yoga every morning and four nights a week. 3 days of strength training, one day of personal training and aqua zumba twice a week at the gym. I am go for hour long walks when I am. Not doing any of the above.
  • I really think you need to see this. This man has seriously saved my life. He is the inspiration for all I do and I am honored to call him a friend. It may just do the same for you! You have got this, and I will be with you ever step of the way! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iz9nsEjSS1o
  • @kosseychick while you are looking at treating it medically, have you thought about doing workouts in a pool? They are much easier on the joints while still being able to put some serious work in?
  • What is different this time? For me it is that EVERYTHING I do is public. ALL my weigh ins are posted not only here but on Twitter and elsewhere. Instead of doing everything alone and in seclusion, by building a large community of like minded individuals around me, it has become a self perpetuating circle of inspiration…
  • Newest InBody numbers are in even though official weigh in isn't until tomorrow morning! A couple of contradictory results because I didn't know I needed to be rested/fasted for the first one, so that is the reason that all the numbers are down except % Body fat being slightly up. Next month will be a much better…
  • @NovusDies Don't read what I say too literally. I honestly love all that I do, I love the grind itself. What I mean when I say "embrace the suck" is that no progress is made when one is comfortable. If you are working out and it isn't a challenge and it isn't hard, no real progress is being made. Doesn't matter if it is…
  • @amkita Yoga can be great, and you can find any sort of program that works for you. For myself I do DDP Yoga which is much more like a workout rather than a quiet spiritual program. But I know many people who have had much success with traditional forms of yoga.
  • Good morning @NovusDies! Thanks for the kind words. I don't call it a diet because I restrict myself of nothing and the fun days are indistinguishable from the training days. My always open diary attests to that! Every day is monday to me. For me that works. For me being in control of my mind and and having empirical data…
  • My motto is, if it doesn't suck, I don't do it. Embrace the suck. Doing the things that are easy, rather than hard, got us all into this place. As somebody wise once said, "Easy choices, Hard Life. Hard Choices, Easy Life"
  • Hey there! My name is Matt and I am 40 and started at 356 lbs on 4 August 19, and am currently 323. I have gone through a total mental transformation. This isn't a diet for me, it is a lifestyle change. I am achieving this change through a combination of many disciplines, DDP Yoga, Strength Training with a personal…

  • I know a lot of people look at this place as a dating site. Not me. I am running my own race, I don't PM for the most part. I just like the camaraderie of like minded folks to walk the path with. With me you will see a transformation. The mental one has already occurred. Now it is just putting in the work to make the…
  • Feel free to add me for some daily Motivation!
  • You both got this! I am here for anything you need!
  • I like it. I failed last time (after losing 70 lbs 5 years ago) Because I did it alone, and had nobody to help me when I plateaued and got discouraged. This time I did everything out in the open. I posted my initial weigh in and beginning photo to twitter, and found a whole community of people there to help me and inspire…
  • Talked with some friends about a cheat day!
  • Not sure if I should consider this a NSV but I struggled to get my heart rate even into the aerobic zone on a long session today. But whether it is a NSV or not, I am happy to see my body no longer needing to work so hard to support the ever increasing activity levels. I got this!
