I've ran 9 marathons. It's a mental game. I always take 3 Advil and take them at 13 miles. I don't change anything before the race, including shoes. (Done that, bad decisions). Same here. In my 20s 1500 calories a day and running got me to my goal weight. I had no problem. Now 40 and there's a problem. Keto works but eventually I want cake and quit.
