This makes me think you have such a tender heart :) It’s probably such a sweet aspect of your personality. Apparently I don’t have the same problem haha. I’m always so blunt and firm when it comes to my body and time. “Omg thank you, but No thanks. Seriously” but then I smile and prevent any awkwardness by changing the…

It just jumped to 1200 calories. I don’t want to eat 1200 if I don’t have to. It automatically factors for 2 lbs a month or 4 lbs a month. I would rather do the math and manually enter the correct calorie goal.

5’1 and 135. I would like to get back down to 115 eventually.

Yep, that’s what I’m doing.

In its current modern definition, the above IS what it means. I’m not talking about the 1800’s, but now. The Kardashian’s were huge on selling waist snatchers, which is anti-fitness. So, whether one understands the old world use of the word or even the modern use of the word, it’s still not something we should be doing.…

@aeloine Sorry for being confusing, and appreciate your help as well!

Great advice. I’ve been tracking without a scale and losing, but will have to see the trend to figure out how accurate my guessing has been. Managing 1270 regularly, so in a month I’ll see how close I get to a 3 lbs loss. I don’t know why but it feels like consistently dropping small bits of weight each month will be…

It became popular with corsets training, they call it waist snatching. It’s also a popular form of surgery to create the “perfect” waist to hip ratio. All of which are pop culture influenced and absurd. However, it’s seems she was using it as slang and not in it’s true context.

I used a TDEE calculator for my activity level which is sedentary. In the odd chance I get to move more during work hours, I definitely increase my calories. It actually says 1509, but I’ve increased it to 1600.
-
Okay you’ve switched it up. So I was right?
-
I looked and it doesn’t state. And I’m glad you chimed in... my method was: 3500x3= 10,500\30= 350 1600-350= 1250
-
Please tell me it’s 1250 p/d

How long are you planning your diet break?
-
Lost all my weight from a calorie deficit. Eventually I did add walks just because I felt so damn good.
-
I use it as an opportunity to be mindful. Even if I loosely track and make educated guesses, it keeps me in the ballpark of where I’m at for the day. Guilt has only ever created an all or nothing mentality for me, so I cut myself some slack, and feel empowered by logging as I go.

Snatch? Really, cherry? Come on. There’s a difference of an adult being relevant vs an adult lacking maturity. Elevate yourself, and I’ll be right there with you reaching fitness goals.
-
Hopefully you’re asking for yourself? It can be pretty frustrating when someone attempts to offer dieting advice when they themselves actually believe in starvation mode and other woo. Learning more about cico- great! Regurgitating hear say diet tips (eating out is bad, one must work out, etc)- not helpful or accurate.…

For all the weeks I could have lost if I had just focused on .5 lb a week, I would be at more of a deficit than I am now. The heavy restricting isn’t fun, nor is the binge cycle it creates, and you don’t even get a payoff. So really there’s no point in doing it any other way than a practical deficit. Once I accepted this,…

If I were causally dating someone and it turned into more over time, there’s no way I wouldn’t be paranoid about gaining another pound, knowing there were conditions to the “relationship”. Fortunately you’re in a position where you’re not attached yet. For this reason, why let these manipulative and emotionally toxic…

Is the question really about wearing a smaller sweater or not? Please clarify

5’6” Current 127 Goal 117 with 3 lb leeway Gained 10 lbs a little over a year ago, apparently break up diet was the opposite for me. Now just wanting to get back to myself, and clothes for that matter.

It’s less about “willpower” than you think. Research is proving by setting yourself up in an environment conduscive to your goals, little to no willpower is needed. It’s very encouraging knowing nothing is wrong with “us”. You just need to learn some tools to set yourself up for success.…
