In my late teens and early to mid 20's it was all about running for me, I didn't really have to weight train as I was doing a physically demanding job. Then it all stopped , got a job with little physical weight lifting at all. I stopped running and gradually weight added to my waist line. Now, in mid 30's and getting some…

I'm in this boat too. Good luck all!!!

Yes, I think meal prep is important, only speaking from my personal experience on mfp. Mind you I'm no expert and have had a few bad weeks there of bad food choices and no exercise. Been back on track from last few days. Hope things go well and you achieve your goals.

Road running all the time.

Sorry, that meant to say "good luck in your fitness journey"lol

Yep, I was at my heaviest almost 50 days ago. I seen a reflection in a window of myself sitting at work. Honestly, I didn't recognize the person in the reflection. I've never been thin in my entire life and I never will be and to be honest I never want to be. Although I do want to be slimmer than I am now and to be…

Yes have been given same advice, when I was new was told to concentrate on calories at first. Almost 50 days in I still am. Only other ones I do like to keep an eye on is my cards and sodium intake as I do not want to many of these. Good luck on your journey.

Easiest way I found to do this was get kitchen scales and add your food then zero it and continue this process. I do this with dinner plates and weigh everything seperate.

I agree with above. This app really does get results if you stick with. Wish you luck on your new fitness journey path.

I am by no way expert on this. However that seems very complicated. Personally I would just mark down your distance speed and time to calculate your jogging speed and let the app calculate the calories burned. As I say I am not expert and someone may disagree. Hope you get the answer you need and good luck in your fitness…

As someone who still on the basic, I can really not fault it, as it gets results if you stick to your calorie plan and get the exercise. Although good question and good to hear the feed back. Thanks

I find this app helpfully, basically you can eat anything you like as long as you account for it. So if your over your calorie limit, you know to make changes. I still have my favourite foods but just once or twice a week at most!!!

I have had shoulder issues for approx 10 years. Can't find fix for it either.

Thank you for this. Makes sense and very true.

Whiskey neat! Although for me at weekends, I don't log my calorie intake. I just take 2 days out a week and loosen up either be takeaways and beers n whiskies. I know loads people say not the way to do it, but it's working for me, I work hard weekdays with exercise and calorie intake.
-
Unsure on any advice but I wish you all luck and I hope this app helps in your journey!
-
Good on you, go do it !!!!!!

Some fantastic pics, great!!!

Cut down my alcohol intake, cut down on takeaway food intake and began walking.

Wish you all the best.

ATB , 9pm till I Come. Great dance tune

I agree with a few on here, I would just log a workout session that is done.

Great. I have been walking for a couple of weeks now. I have mapped out 6 or 7 different routes and know the miles in distance. Now I track my route with time it takes me.
-
Currently I am only walking and I find I do not need music as the sound of nature is enough for me. Although back when I was in my late teens and early to mid twenties when I done weights , I needed music. To be honest I liked the Rocky montage music for training lol. Cheesy I know lol
-
I never thought it made any difference
