2.8km on the elliptical. I wish winter would just end already! It was -17°C(1.4°F) this morning. I have been really struggling the last two months. After hurting my foot/ankle in February and the cold weather I have no motivation to run. The few times I have been out it's been frustrating how much progress I've lost in…

Got out for a run this morning... 2.8km walking and running.
-
So I was watching Truck Night in America last night and all I could think was that the Green Hell (last obstacle in the challenge) would make for a great 3 mile trail/obstacle race.... What has this group done to me! Haha I need to go running...
-
My March goal is to actually run and not hurt my foot again. Only two runs in Feb. so I'd like to try and get out at least once a week in March. I've also started Couch to 10K from the beginning this time since I really haven't run for a month.
-
First walk/run of the month, finally. 3km more walking than running.
-
A run is a run, no matter how long or how short. There is no judgment here, whether you run 1km or 100km. This is a great group of people that will encourage you whatever distance you go.

My wallet hurts :/ two pairs of steel toes (one pair not shown) and a pair of running shoes later...it sucks when the hubby and I both need work shoes. But I got a new pair of running shoes, maybe now my feet wont hurt so much :) It's supposed to be nice tomorrow so maybe I'll take them out for a spin. Yay long weekends!

@juliet3455 I used to figure skate and curl so I'd love to do those again. The snowboard slope style looked pretty neat too. I am still not running, the foot/ankle are feeling better but I don't want to re-hurt it by doing something too soon. Maybe by the end of the week I'll be out running/walking again.

Thank you everyone! @7lenny7 My mom (a nurse) looked at it. She thinks it's just a strained muscle and with some rest it should get better. Only problem is I work on my feet most of the day.

I have been MIA all February :( on the last day of January I put on my shoes to go to the store and I haven't been able to walk properly since! Level 7-8 pain in the outer arch of my foot which has lead to a swollen ankle/foot, a tensor bandage, and lots of Advil. But enough "whoa is me" congrats everyone that's been…

I agree with the pockets, I have one pair of shorts with a tiny pocket n no zipper which does NOTHING... Like come on, how am I supposed to fit anything into a 3" wide pocket and not have it look like there's some sort of growth on my leg. I also have the same problem with tights falling down, I end up using a pair of UA…

After looking over the 10k plan, it's looking like close to 80km this month.... However, it's February, and weather in Eastern Ontario sucks. I'll aim for a more realistic 50km since I'm not stuck to a deadline for the 10k.

Jan. 30 - 6.9km first day of 10k training, doing it just to build up endurance, no races planned. It's W9D1 on the couch to 10k by Zen Labs. It was tough but I did it- 10 mins run 1 mins walk x4
-
I've just started 10K training :) started today, not sure how many km I'll get in this month but my goal is to be consistent, unlike January. I'll look at the program and see how many km it wants me to run.
-
Tried to run after work today, knee was having none of it. Maybe tomorrow
-
Jan 21 - 8km it was -1°C when I left and 4°C when I got back. Ran 5+km without taking a walk break with some bigger (for me) hills. MTD - 40km no distance goal for me this month
-
Jan.18 - 4.2km another warm spell coming up, supposed to be +3°C on Saturday! I'll definitely be making up some KM this weekend, we have to dog sit and this dog loves his walks. MTD - 32km
-
@7lenny7 glad to hear you and Kody are alright. I just about had someone hit me today, girl didn't even slow down, just zipped around the corner where I was crossing.
-
Jan. 11 - 6.6km walk/run. It was +9°C! It was so nice I wanted to keep going but I have been on my feet all day and my knee and heel were already hurting during the run. MTD - 27.8km
-
Jan. 8 - 6.8km walk/run. 0°C, it has finally warmed up! Thank goodness. MTD - 21.2km
-
Jan. 7 - 5.4km finally got back out after another cold spell, as I mentioned before -40 is not running weather for me! It's supposed to warm up for the next few days so hopefully I can make up some KM. MTD - 14.4km
-
Another no run for me, decided last minute to get my hair done instead. It's also -24°C and closer to -40° with the windchill so no way was I going outside if I didn't have to.
-
Total rest day today. I felt like absolute junk after work. We are now getting hit with another cold spell, supposed to be -32°C tomorrow.
-
Jan. 3 - no running today but did the runtensity workout from Fit Couch. It totally kicked my *kitten*, I now have a slight pain in my knee :(
-
I know what you mean! I started it Jan. 1 and there were people with 150km already in one workout... And their names weren't @JessicaMcB I'm going to stick with it so I can see my yearly totals and I can't win prizes anyways so it doesn't really make a difference if they fudge their numbers.
-
Jan. 2 - 4.5km snowy but not as cold as yesterday. Walk/run with an elevation gain of 119M MTD - 9km/??? Still not sure what my goal is this month.
-
@eponine1984 congrats! Happy 2018 everyone! Jan 1 - 4.5km Another cold one -17°C (~1°F) darn Canada being in a practically Nation wide deep freeze. I've chickened out for over a week waiting for the temps to rise... It ain't happening, and reading everyone else running in sub zero temps I felt it necessary to do it also.…
-
Definitely not making my December goal... Oh well, that's what happens when I leave Christmas presents to the last minute. See everyone in January's group. HAPPY NEW YEARS!!
-
I'm already 2 pages behind!! My goal for this month is to run more consistently...I'm going to aim for 4 running/elliptical days a week minimum at around 20-45 minutes, and maybe one-two full body workout a week. I'll figure out distance later :)
-
Dec. 24 - 5km so my thermometer lied to me this morning... Said it was - 3°C and climbing so I dressed for that... Come to realize after getting home it was - 9°. No wonder I was so cold. MTD - 39km/60km
