@PastorVincent & everyone else talking about measurement... The best is in Canada when you measure everything in a "mixture" ... Oh you're building a house...let's use Imperial but a Commercial Building we'll use Metric. Let's weigh everything but ourselves using grams/kilograms and then have to convert it because half the…

@Orphia Thank you! I have never been much of a runner. This group has been the motivation and accountability that I needed to start running.

AND I DID IT!! :D 5km no walking! Secondary goal complete. Now to be able to do it again....and consistently. Oct.17 - 5.6km MTD 56.9km/100km

Oct. 16 - 4.3km MTD - 51.3/100km Good run today, still a lot of calf soreness, just on the outside of the right calf, but I pushed through and ran the majority of my route. Probably could have done it all without the soreness which would have been a first.

Short walk today. Was talking to a neighbor that used to run marathons, his advice "don't run everyday". Oct 14 - 3.8km MTD - 47km/100km
-
So yesterday was an unplanned rest day because of the calf issues. Did an elliptical "run" today. Oct. 13 - 4.8km MTD - 43.4km/100km

My doctor said that irregular periods are totally normal (on or off bc) and unless you're feeling pain or other symptoms its usually nothing to worry about, your body knows what it's doing. But if you're concerned you should be speaking with your doctor or gyno about possible issues.

I was out for a walk and I get this...

Only did 2.8km today as I think I've succumb to the old "too much too soon" adage... Been having some calf soreness and discomfort during my runs and after... MTD - 38.2km/100km

Oct. 10 - 4.9km MTD - 35.4km/100km So I did not make up for not running yesterday... Oh well there is always tomorrow.

Indulged in a few too many drinks last night (darn Thanksgiving) so I didn't move much from the couch today. I have a couple days off now so I'll make up for it tomorrow hopefully.

Haha I had that happen to me this morning, coming from a small town I knew him, and he's a great runner, but the "good job" got me kind of defensive as well. Oct. 8 - 5.5K MTD - 30.5K/100K
-
Oct. 7 - 4.6K MTD - 25K/100K Whoot whoot quarter of the way there!

I guess I made up for not running yesterday... Oct. 2 - 8.67km

I have the same problem when I increase my walking pace, usually slowing down will take the pain away. Doing a warm up and cool down may be befinical as well. Like other posts have said getting a good pair of shoes can help. Mostly just listen to your body, if your legs are hurting because you're running faster or longer…

Well I didn't run yesterday but had a few great games of horseshoes with the hubby and one of the guys from work, so much fun! I'll be going for my regular 4+km walk today.

New to this... Going to set a main goal of 100km this month with a secondary goal of running 5km without stopping. Maybe this will be the motivation I need!
