Your weight will fluctuate naturally. A fluctuation of 1 kg isn't much. In a month, that would show that your weight is pretty stable. Why are you asking? (I'm imagining you're a jockey or a wrestler and every gram counts in your weight class?) ☺

Eat the higher recommended calorie allowance. Deprivation can lead to you abandoning your plan. There's a saying on the forum: he who eats the most and loses, wins. So eat as much as mfp allows.

PS: Check out the Skinnytaste blog for some low calorie slow-cooker chicken recipes. I love her chicken enchilada soup recipe.

The recipe for weight loss is basically move more and eat less. I think you want a calorie restriction method that doesn't feel like a diet. So i can think of two possibilities: 1. Fasting once or twice a week - that can be just skipping a single meal or more. Look at the 5-2 diet for more detail about this approach.…

Doughnuts have no power over me. Now, if that had been a cheese platter... faceplant!

You look great. Congrats on your progress!

I've lost weight mostly through diet. About 20 pounds in 3 months. I do, however, walk most days for 25-45 minutes because my job is sedentary, and it's time to think and enjoy crisp autumnal weather. I often eat the calories earned, back.100-200 extra calories per day translates into a glass of red wine, a chunk of blue…

I wish i knew that it gets both easier and harder as you continue to lose weight. Easier because you eventually mostly have good days where you eat within your allowance without thinking about it. Harder because you realise you can never go back to eating the way you did before and forever means forever.

If you thought you were losing weight I'm assuming you made some positive changes to your lifestyle in the last year. That's great - not everything is reflected on the scale. Give yourself credit for all you have done. But you need to see this as a process, a journey. You're going to have to keep making small adjustments…

Try the Strong Curves bodyweight pgm at home. If you do a search on the forum for it, I'm sure you'll find a link to the pdf online. There are some amazing before and after pics online re glute transformation!

I like the recipes on the Skinnytaste blog, particularly her slow-cooker recipes.

Congratulations!

You're an inspiration. I think you can do anything you set your mind to - you only have to look in the mirror to see proof of that. Well done!

I did it! I've lost 9.3kg and am now overweight instead of obese. Am so happy. Thank-you mfp and thank-you forum people for all of the tips and inspiration!!!

Congrats on your weight loss! I have the same bmi goal and should make it into the overweight category this week, too! :)

Well done! You look great!

I fit fast food into my calorie allowance but I can't think of any low-carb vegetarian fast food. Are there any frozen products from supermarkets that you could heat 'n eat? Spinach triangles? Or maybe freeze home cooked food you can just reheat? I cook slow-cooker meals that we eat over 3 nights with frozen veg. They're…

I don't keep gateway foods, like potato chips, in the house because I can't resist them. If I have a calorie deficit, I'll buy a small portion and eat it immediately. If I can't get a small portion I'll eat what I'm allowed and put the rest in the garbage. My husband is very supportive and only buys snacks that I don't…

Minimum calorie allowance for women is 1200 calories. If you eat less than that, it's hard to be properly nourished. Also, if you're hungry and grumpy you won't be able to stick to your new eating plan. So eat more calories and include food you'd be happy eating for the rest of your life. You need a long-term attitude to…

Wonderful!!!

Had to click - am smiling! I rely on cheaper alternatives: dim lighting, few mirrors and denial. And thank heavens it's hard to see your own ar$e without effort!!!

You're in the right place. Look at the success stories on the mfp forum. They all lost weight. You can too. One bite at a time. Fill in your details in mfp and get a calorie recommendation. Then log everything you eat and see where you can make cuts and substitutions to get within your calorie goal. It's a process. Just…

I agree you need to eat more. Minimum 1200 calories. It's hard for you to be properly nourished otherwise. I hope you're also tracking your iron intake on mfp. I'm anemic too and take iron supplements but I also now eat beef and liver regularly. I noticed that if I ate too few calories that my iron intake without…

Same health issues. Don't think you need to exercise a lot to make a difference. A 30 min daily walk, metformin and lower carb eating kept my a1c in the normal range even before i started losing weight on mfp. I'm now losing weight steadily. I've recently added Nordic walking sticks to the mix so I can work my upper body…

Also, what kind of coconut milk? Regular coconut milk can be 500 calories per cup. Are you drinking light coconut milk?

Saw an unusual tip on the mfp blog that I'm going to try too. Have a small tasteless snack to help you last to next meal e.g. a teaspoon of olive oil. Nothing to eat for an hour either side of snack. It does something good to the hunger hormone grehlin.
