Midlife is the point where you have little debt, money in the bank and the time to do all the fun things your still-broke friends did while you were working hard. Also a white Corvette with a bright red leather interior!

I think it safe to say that the majority of us are not there to tone our Adonis body but to get fit. Face it, none of us look our best in sweaty oversized T-shirts and gym shorts! So, no to video in the gym, I don't want me and my wobbly bits ridiculed on the internet. I can get that at home!

I'm going to try 1 and 2 to lose 79 lbs then 3 to triple that loss to 222 lbs in one month! Wish me luck.

"This morning--here in Europe--there were 2 pages full of ads for call girls in Dubai." Dear Snowflake, Asking for a friend. Can you please forward the ads as he will visit Dubai soon and I will surely want to avoid such people.

I was lazy for 2 years and piled the weight on which, since October and a heart scare, I have lost plus some. Get back on track and lose it again, you have already proved you can do it.

I often skip logging but keep an eye on what I eat. Yesterday though I was attacked by a bar of chocolate, and just could not fight it off, so logged yesterday's food. That measly chocolate took me over by 600 calories! That's equivalent to 6 bananas which I really enjoy. I don't feel guilty as the error of my ways is…

I think a lot of us watch because we can relate. I don’t appreciate you calling it mental illness.[/quote]e t I watch the shows out of fascination as to where they put all that food and the condition they end up in before the light goes on and they decide they want to lose a few lbs. To gorge on food until one cannot walk,…

600 lb life show must pay well. How else can they afford all that food, maybe sponsored by fast food outlets? And the move to Texas for however long it takes to lose enough weight for, surely, expensive surgery. Most are unemployed. Is the US welfare system supporting them? Is it so generous?

I have another 4 kgs to go and the updated goals says 1500 calories per day to achieve that at 0.5 kg per week. Not liking dairy extends to all produce as I can't come to terms with squeezing a cow's tits and then drinking the milk! It seems so un natiral. I eat canned mackerel as is easy to judge the calories,

I always have bananas, filling and easy to count the calories at 100 calories each.

Well done mate! An inspiration to all the men on here. I bet you feel great about yourself.

I got my motivation from my doctor. I was 264 lbs when I was diagnosed with high BP and oncoming heart failure. A real wake-up call as I'm only 65 and not ready to die or worse be immobile! Today I am 171 lbs and nearing my target weight of 165 and the new watch I've promised myself. Before I could not walk up 2 flights of…

Where I work booze is only available on the black market and prices were hiked for Christmas and still not come down. I cut down on my nightly whisky consumption and feel like cr@p in the mornings. Guess my body is missing something!

I am a man and have been logging food with MFP for several years. I hit a milestone today of 79 kgs for the first time in years, down from 110 kgs heaviest, a slow journey but worth it. I just feel like I am on the opposite of a junk food diet but still need to eat. I have no taste for dairy, sweets and very rarely eat…
