I've been mulling this over too. It seems like Fitbit is cheaper but Apple Watch does more. I'm still trying to decide if I'd use the extras that come with apple.

I sent you a friend request. I'm sure I'm doing it the hard way but I click on the link that says "friends" in the menu and then hit the plus sign in the top right corner and then manually enter in the user name. It's 2017, Surely there is an easier way to send friend requests but that's the way I do it.
