  • I make hard-boiled eggs in my Instant Pot. 5 minutes on medium pressure. They come out super-easy to peel and hard-boiled eggs are one of my go-to lunches.
  • I'm 61 and lost my menopause weight-gain over the last 7 months!!!! I thought that was actually impossible so I'm completely & happily surprised by this. I'm doing a relaxed form of low-carb and have increased the amount of vegetables I eat so I have lots of munching-time at meals. I'm working on getting used to having…
  • I've been skipping breakfast for many, many years except for a morning cup of coffee. I think it has always helped me eat less. If it becomes a habit you don't notice it at all. I don't get very hungry until I think I'm about to have lunch.
  • If you own an Instant Pot they boil eggs that peel perfectly. 5 minutes on low pressure.
  • I've been having a glass or two of red wine at night budgeted into my diet. It's working for me so far. I measure the amount I want into a pretty, glass decanter which slows down how much I drink. There's some nice dark chocolate budgeted in there too!!! I little wine & chocolate after dinner is a pleasure I didn't want to…
  • I eat a couple of squares of Lindt 85% almost every night. In the winter I make my own hot cocoa mix so I can limit the sugar. It has cinnamon in it which is sweet and a beverage mix called Postum.
  • This is a slight aside but I recently discovered that my Instant Pot makes perfect hard boiled eggs in about 6 minutes -- plus cool down time. No pots boiling over so can walk away. I never liked making hard boiled eggs before but now I cook them by the dozen. I mostly just like them with salt & pepper.
  • Depending what you crave, see if you can make a healthier version of it. Also have things that aren't too bad ready to eat... when I'm hungry I'll eat the first thing I see.
  • Hahaha! those are the cornerstones of my anti-depression initiative! :)
  • I'm eating lots of vegetables, protein and "good" fats with very little carbs. If you eat a good amount of those do you still feel off? Stress gives me brain fog. I'm one of those people who piles up my plate with vegetables so I can munch for a good long time before the meal is over so I get full.
