I agree with the echo chambers thing, but people should also be able to reach out for support among like minded people, without being constantly bombarded with debate. Ultimately, we are all adults, and have some right to choose our own diets. If someone comes on here saying that they just had their first deer processed,…

I went over today. I had about three and a half glasses. Two at work, and then I found out that my recently evicted tenants tore up my rental house, and I kept sipping wine as I talked to my property manager.

That’s actually around the age when I first started getting hangovers at all, but I’ve had friends who got them a lot younger, and I’ve noticed that I get them more easily as I get older (36 now), but my drinking has not increased, and I never binge drink anymore.

I used to do the bars in gymnastics. I’m not sure why, but our instructors would tell us to put used tea bags on them. They also make leather gloves for gymnasts that only cover your palm.

I used to chill them and then use a little ceasar dressing, but now I’ve gotten to where I like them with just some lemon juice and salt/pepper. I’m trying to change my mentality and let myself enjoy more of my favorite expensive low cal treats.

Feeding my bunny. She’s exceptionally cute when she really wants her pellets.

Oh, and steamed artichoke. They are so expensive and take so long to steam tho.

Baked potatoes, or baked sweet potatoes. The oven can go ahead and warm my house, when it’s cold.

At least you didn’t finish the bottle. wasting it, or turning down free wine, is hard.

Swiss chard does well in colder climate. I think beets grow in warmer temps, but beet green are very nutritious, so maybe you could eat them young. You can also sprout radish and broccoli seeds. You can look into setting up some cold frames.

Yay! I stopped at 8 oz last night. I had a seltzer that I’d put in the fridge, and I took a mild sleeping pill a couple hits after I had my wine. I’m realizing that part of why I keep drinking is that I imagine it will help me relax and sleep. It really doesn’t. It actually makes me wake up in the middle of the night.…

Mustard or turnip greens.

Are you really following me around the site. Please stop that. Even if you are explaining my point.

Oh, I know. I literally picked it bc it looked like one of the weirdest in the book (other than encased tuna salads and such). I was shocked that it was good.

Just for laughs, I actually made a jello that had mayo, cucumber, pineapple, and lime jello.. it was actually amazing and now I crave it.

If you don’t mind dairy, you can just substitute the banana in recipes with vanilla yogurt, or plain yogurt with some apple juice concentrate. If it calls for frozen, you can freeze portions of yogurt and use that.

Broccoli, carrots, and cauliflower can be blanched for just a few seconds in boiling water. Might help with the transition to raw.

When, I followed a strict, plant based diet, as in no eggs in my cake, I would describe it as vegan, bc food wise, it was. Someone jumped down my throat about the ethical veganism as a lifestyle thing. After a while of following a plant based diet, and Internet forums etc, I saw the difference in terms, but I truly meant…

I got rid of my moved out boyfriend’s Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal bars.

I will use half of the wine and fill the rest of the glass up with seltzer water. It’s not my favorite, but it really helps me to keep it slow. I’ll also use my wine glass for water, between, or after, drinks. I obviously love drinking from it so much more than my water glass lol. I never do shots. I sometimes sip an oz of…

I mostly eat like that (except I drink wine). I’ve been plant based for years, but I’m not too strict about it. I’ll go ahead and get a pizza now and then, or share a burger if I eat out, but I don’t look down on anyone who is trying to gain control and tighten the reigns for awhile. I do feel like I’ve seen results from…

I have the same issue after the second glass, if I drink too fast. Don’t feel bad. I drink at work, and it was normal for me to have four glasses total a day, and I’m only 4’11”. Having to record it really helps me.

I managed to keep it to 12 oz last night :) I had a soda water, and a big mason jar of water. I know not to take sleeping pills while drinking, but I took one at ab 9:45, once the wine had worn off. Planning on taking one, stops me early, and I look forward to the good night of sleep enough that I’m not tempted.

You can make ranch dressing out of it. I don’t have the link anymore, but I’m sure you can find it w a quick google search. Tastes like the expensive yogurt based ones in the produce section.

I was just going to add a recipe for broccoli slaw. Well, anything really, but I especially love it on broccoli slaw. If you keep around those frozen pop cubes, this is really easy to throw together and is enough for a couple lbs of food. I water sauté, but you could add oil. Thai peanut basil sauce: T soy sauce Two frozen…

Well, I’m already 12 oz in tonight. :/ I’m going to put a seltzer in the fridge. So fun to sip wine while passing out candy. Ugh.

The easy answer is to drink less, but I have the same issue, so I know it’s not that easy. One thing that has helped me is adapting my idea of hang over food. I’ll drink one of those kumbuca teas (60 calores). They are supposed to have electrolytes and probiotics that help. Who cares if it’s true, as long as I believe it,…

I only have this problem if my boyfriend brings a bag of chips, or cookies, into the living room. I try not to even buy the stuff.

Well, I’ve managed to keep to two glasses a day all this weekend m, except Friday night, when I had some at dinner, and then wanted a glass after. I really need to keep my wine consumption to one glass at dinner, or work, so that I can have a glass when I’m winding down for the night.

I don’t like it either. I mostly just do higher resistance cardio, and body weight workout, like pushups and flutter kicks. When I did bother with weights, I’d do them after my first 30 min set of cardio. That way, I felt warmed up, and wasn’t as bored.
