Wow, yeah. I need to find a different source for logging tilapia. Whatever I’ve been using said a filet has 9!

They must have used a really awful recipe. You can’t skip and real almond and vanilla extracts, and use real butter. Also, some people doesn’t store cookies properly before giving them out, tho spritzers hood up well to longer storage.

It already roughly does have as much protein, depending on the type, and fewer calories, but it’s not a “complete” protein. It’s only an example, and I’d never suggest the a vegetarian soley eat greens as a protein source. I don’t get why ppl get so excited ab tearing apart a suggestion..

I second spritz cookies. They are amazing when homemade, pretty, and easy to make a variety.
-
I’d try air popped popcorn with some of that cheddar seasoning and some chipotle powder.
-
Often cheese. I like a little cheese to add flavor, but not a solid layer of it. If it’s not good quality, it hardly has any flavor anyways. I usually wind up trying to scrape it off.
-
Butternut squash. Most winter squash really, and especially squash bisque.

Prepared Indian sauces, like tikka masala are really good over vegetables. I usually find them in the organic stuff aisle, if the store doesn’t have an Indian section. I also like the Greek yogurt based ranch dressing, ceasar dressing, and buffalo sauce. Sometimes I mix plain veggies w some canned seasoned beans, like…

Have you tried them savory? W sour cream and chipotle?
-
Lol.. so you just pair them w some beans. It’s not that hard. It’s more protein and a lot more fiber.

Shiratke noodles and broccoli slaw are both things I sub for spaghetti, partly bc they are really fast. I like the broccoli slaw seasoned like pad Thai, and I eat the shiratake as Mac n cheese, or w marinara. I love spaghetti squash, but I don’t like cooking it.

Have a can of mustard greens. Ab 90 calories, 9 G protein, and plenty of fiber to keep you full. Top w soup, marinara, hot sauce, a curry sauce, teriyaki, or bbq sauce.

It was years ago, but I think I remember cooking and feeling a bunch in batches, and it was fine reheated (just had to drain off the extra moisture).

I cross stitch. The second one is the art that the chart is based on.

I played the sims for half of the day. At 36, it’s a luxury.

It’s not exactly volume, unless it’s a big comfort food for you, like it is for me, but I’m shocked by how low calorie smothered liver is. I used my family recipe of simmering lightly floured, fried, liver with carmelized onions, mushrooms, and cream of mushroom soup, (I left off the bacon), and one lb of liver. It made…

Are you more worried ab calories, or alcohol consumption? Consider satisfaction, rituals, and being buzzed (I have to admit.. I like the buzz :P but I do go past where I need to just bc I’m holding a glass)

Try to develop a taste for cooked greens. They are the lowest calorie plant source of protein, and convenient bc canned ones are low sodium and easy. Just add them little by little and try different sauces, like ranch or bbq sauce. Also, focus mostly on adding in more vegetables, fruits, beans, and whole grains. I still…

It really helps me. I switched to small wine glasses that fit in my dishwasher, and do 2-4oz at a time. It helps so much. So does really strong hibiscus tea at room temp, between glasses. It’s dark red and sour. I’d use non alcohol wine, but I can’t find it where I live. I’ll have to stock up the next time I’m in the…

I have a similar issue. I’m the only one who cooks, and I get home around 8. My 13 y old son, and my boyfriend, eat a lot differently from me. I basically prep things for them, that they can heat up, and prep my own things for myself. I also try to cook things that are convertible to higher calories foods for them. If I…

I had three yesterday, but I’ve cut back the size of my drinks. 2 6oz wine 1 2oz dirty martini (only 105 calories!) For me, I’m mostly worried ab cutting actual alcohol, but for anyone worried mostly ab calories, I was very surprised that vermouth has 25 calories per oz, and is 16%, while most wine is 12% and ab 35…

Someone on here suggested peanut butter, oats, and maple syrup (as a cookie, so I guess you’ll want to leave the maple syrup out). I like to mash that all up, form it into a patty and sprinkle w salt (bc I like it), and then chill it in the fridge. Then I cut it into bite sized squares. You must have some breaks in your…

Don’t seek revenge. If someone is wronging you, they are wronging others. Better to move along and enjoy your life, a safe distance from the impending train wreck.

Greens, beans, and nuts. can of greens has ab the same protein and calories as a filet of tilapia.
-
Right there w you. Hugs.

I’m an exotic dancer. We don’t have to drink, but it’s hard not to when customers are offering, and it helps me to relax. Plus, it’s a bar/club, so drinking there feels normal.
-
I had two glasses of wine last night, but I was able to stop for a long time between work a cup of strong hibiscus tea.

Try lentil chili. Just boil one lb of lentils with whatever chili seasoning mix you like, and use it the same as normal chili. You can add onion and a can of diced tomatoes if you want. This is especially good over fried yellow polenta (really easy and inexpensive to make yourself from plain yellow corn meal)

I love canned mustard and turnip greens. Ill eat the whole can with some hot sauce, or marinara. One can has about 90 calories, 9 grams of protein, and 12 grams of fiber. I also eat those toddler squeeze things. I love the Apple/fig/kale one, and the pumpkin ancient grains one. They have about 100 calories, don’t require…

The more you use a seasoned skillet, the better it gets. I’ve had my black steal for about ten years. I barely have to use any oil to fry with it now. Somethings are best cooked with just enough oil to coat the pan. I haven’t tried the new preseasoned cast iron. It might be better.
