It doesn’t matter how good other people seem to think I look, I need to feel like I’m fit and in control of my body. I really have to have some regular workout, or I ‘feel’ fat. It’s not just in my mind. I get slightly achy, if I don’t work out, and my digestion is more sluggish.

I have a trek 7.3 Fx, but I never get to ride anymore. I used to live right next to an amazing bike trail. It was my favorite thing ever. :(

You are right about the omniheat. I live in the Midwest, so it’s not as cold, but it’s comfortable for a lot of variation, and a lot of their stuff looks nice too. Very versatile.

The time when I was breastfeeding was the only time I’ve ever been kinda chubby. I ate really nutritious food, but I was just so hungry. As soon as I weened him (started to around 18 months), I lost all of the weight and more. I guess I just have one of those appetites that adjusts, but I was very frustrated at the time.

You know, this question was not that weird for a peanut butter question.

This was m issue with wine. If it’s just Pepsi, I’d log and use that as your measure food and work it is “well, I could have that bag of chips, or I could have 8oz of pepsi for those calories.” I cut out a lot of other empty calories and keep my wine.

I agree. I’m starting to think some people might have issues with food that are similar to alcoholics with booze. You might not be able to reintroduce trigger foods anymore than an alcoholic can reintroduce booze, especially since you want to so badly. For me, I don’t binge or overeat, but I sometimes buy a single mini…

I like gerber lil sticks. They are basically high quality vianna sausages and only 100 calories for a jar. Another one of my favorites is a chilled steamed artichoke with some ceasar dressing.

I think it’s interesting how when you get breast implants, there are different “profiles,” meaning if you lie two implant with the same diameter next to each other, a higher profil implant will be taller. A woman can have breasts with a bigger diameter, but they might not stick out as far as a woman with smaller diameter…

My guess is that your manager thinks you look nice and healthy, and probably meant it as a complement. I see this all of the time at work ( but I’m a dancer), and it’s almost always truly a complement. If you are in a similar job, where your looks matter, I’d just ask. If you aren’t in that kind of job, I’d let it go this…

It’s worth it for the b vitamins alone.
-
Well, I was asking, not saying.
-
As someone who had a similar issue and got a boob job for that reason, I wonder what that’s supppsed to mean? Are you assuming that all women who get boob jobs have low self esteem?

I have a few tips. I used to teach parenting classes, and one thing we learned/taught was not to reward or comfort children with food. So, no ice cream (or shopping lol) to treat a bad day. Instead, watch a movie, walk and talk about it, or work on a craft project. The best thing is to do something that actually improves…

I didn’t even know it was there until someone here said something. It’s just the only selfie I had on this phone. I’ll change it when I take a new one.
-
It’s not.

I hate zombies. They are just gross and not cool at all.
-
One thing I do is I’ll bring food gifts, like cookies, or chocolates, to Christmas parties, or set them out for the kids for some snacking, and just have a couple. If someone just loves it, I’ll send the rest home with them, and let the gifter know how much their treats were enjoyed by everyone.
-
This is what I do also. Plus, I prepare by having some low cal volume foods that will be filling. Stuff like a can of mustard greens with chunky veggie marinara, or tabouli lettuce wraps. If I didn’t do this, I’d never get to enjoy some of my favorite higher calorie foods.
-
Be sure to log calories so that you can learn which foods are a good deal for you, and which are too high calorie for your eating style, bc you will be offered a lot of high calorie foods in the military (many ppl need to gain) and might eat more than ever before. Plenty of people in the military struggle to lose weight,…

Oh course there’s no reason she can’t have chickpeas, but if she’s wanting more variety, or substitution (for whatever reason), edamame could help. I happen to have chickpeas in my cupboard and no edamame in my house lol. I just don’t see what is wrong with the op asking for alternatives, or for people to make reasonable…
-
I’m not seeing your point. Same size serving of cooked edamame has less than half the carbs as chickpeas.
-
I took that as the poster was surprised how high calories chickpeas were, and was also making a suggestion for the op’s other uses. I’m not familiar with this source, but it should be fine for comparing macros. Cooked chickpeas are still not the same as cooked edamame.…
-
No one said to use edamame for flat bread. She uses chickpeas for other things too. Whoever mentioned the calories in dried chickpeas wasn’t wrong tho.
-
I like it. It’s earthy and, like someone said above, kinda floral. It has caffeine, so I drink it as a little mid day pick up. I buy the plain stuff in the vitamin section, so that I can add my own sugar to taste.

Why would you do that if you are questioning whether it changes the beans nutritionally? That seems like a lot of work just to “(take up more space with the little tail)”? Why not just work regular beans and grains into your macros?
-
Have you ever looked into it? It’s not some magic trick. They just go from dried beans to the first stages of being a baby plant. It’s not just the calories that change. The minerals change too. This article describes an experiment and the results of sprouting cowpeas. Btw. I’m not one of those ppl who thinks regular beans…
-
Looks like you can sprout chickpeas too. Compared to cooked, their calories go from around 260 to 160 per cup and the carbs drop in half, but the protein drops, from 14 to 10g per cup.
-
This is not low calorie, but it’s perfect for bringing to a holiday diner, or fixing really fast in the morning before work, and letting it cook on your desk for a few hours for a work celebration. Ppl were literally picking it off the sides of the crock pot!…

You do for flat bread, which she says she uses them for. I’m not sure that I can think of a good alternative though, or what the calories would be in a finished recipe.
