  • My go to drinks are: flavored seltzers, Mio water flavorings, and flavored teas. My favorite though is the teas. Hot or cold they just seem to satisfy my need for flavor in my drinks, no sugar necessary to taste great.
  • I had to park in a remote parking lot and take a shuttle into a work meeting due to construction closing my normal parking lot. Well when I went to leave there was no shuttle in sight. So I walked the 4 blocks back to my car (at a brisk pace because it isn't the best neighborhood) and I actually felt great and not out of…
  • I like to roast cauliflower and add it to spaghetti squash, then add pesto sauce(I use store bought) and squeeze a lemon over it all.

  • Made this last night for dinner and it turned out pretty good: Package of Bratwursts, 1 can of sauerkraut, 1 diced onion, 2 sliced apples, 1 TBSP of brown sugar. Cook on low for 4 hours. Serve it with spicy brown mustard.
  • Green chai tea (with a tsp of sugar) and a blueberry Greek yogurt
  • I had this ground beef and zucchini skillet last night for dinner. Topped it with shredded cheese. https://lowcarbyum.com/mexican-zucchini-and-beef/
  • When I got pregnant I actually e-mailed my protein powder's customer service and they suggested I get my protein and nutrients through food rather than their powder during pregnancy. They wouldn't specifically tell me why, but they did say to stop using their powders until after I was done nursing.
  • I like to make mixed drinks with flavored seltzers. Lime flavored seltzer with tequila or orange flavored seltzer with whipped cream vodka. Coke zero with coconut rum is also yummy. But mainly I just make one or two drinks that fit into my calorie count and don't go overboard.
  • When I was nursing, other than normal meals I continued to take my prenatal vitamin and drank TONS of water. When I was starving I would eat lots of fruit (mainly watermelon and apples), some oatmeal, or stir fry with quinoa instead of rice.
  • My favorite way to have eggs are scrambled eggs with salsa, hard boiled eggs with everything bagel seasoning, or a poached egg over toast. Not so much low cal, but I make this breakfast bake when I have a lot of people staying at my house and it is very yummy. you cube up a half loaf of Italian bread, toss in a baking dish…

  • I want to be able to run the full 5K color run that a friend of mine from high school is organizing in my home town at the end of July.
  • I really like the progresso light soups. I just pour it into a large bowl and microwave it and eat straight from the bowl. There are a bunch of different flavors that could last you through a week.
  • I was crazy hungry in my third trimester with both my pregnancies. Even if I had already eaten my calories for the day I would snack on something slowly until the hunger was gone. My go to snacks were watermelon, hard boiled eggs, pickles, air popped popcorn with a little powdered ranch seasoning, baby carrots and humus,…
  • I have really picky eaters, age 2 and 4. Some of the things that have worked for me: I have switched all pasta to whole wheat. Stir fried rice with lots of veggies mixed in is a hit in my house, they each pick out their favorite veggies and it becomes like a hidden object game. I mix in little chunks of the frozen…

  • I just cut my veggies into sticks and put them into the flatter rectangle type Tupperware I have (similar to these: https://www.amazon.com/Containers-Airtight-Container-Vegetables-Leakproof/dp/B07L862HM5/ref=sr_1_4?crid=25K6GZB19ZRR7&keywords=tupperware&qid=1559828943&s=gateway&sprefix=tupperware%2Caps%2C296&sr=8-4 ) I…
  • "Please don't report me to HR or EEO or anything, but how much weight have you lost? You look fantastic." I had been afraid no one at work noticed my hard work. Turned out they were all afraid to make a comment and get reported for harassment. (I'm the only woman at a construction company.)
  • My go to breakfasts are: Vanilla Greek yogurt with freeze dried fruit Vanilla Greek yogurt with a squirt of orange Mio water flavoring hard boiled eggs and multi grain toast with everything but the bagel seasoning Fav lunches: Large salad with lettuce, spinach, carrots, cucumbers, chick peas, shredded cheddar cheese,…
  • For iced tea I really like regular black tea. It is great unsweetened when it is cold and then when I want a summer cocktail I add a little peach schnapps to it and it is light and refreshing without being too sweet.
  • I went to a bachelorette party this last weekend. I am about 10 years older than the rest of the bridal party, and the only one with kids. So I was feeling a little self conscious. But for one of the party card games everyone had to see who was the strongest girl and have a little push up competition. I WON BY A…
  • My husband does the same thing for me sometimes sometimes. I'll vent to him during a bad day about how I miss drinking tons soda, but I can't because it kills my calorie count. And sure enough he comes home from work with a 2-litter of my favorite. I have just said thank you for being thoughtful and took only one serving…
  • I do love cherry coke zero. And a diet coke and coconut rum is my go to party drink. But I only drink these on occasion. Mostly I drink different flavors of tea (hot and cold). I just prefer the taste of these to water.
  • I find that my fitbit doesn't up the step count when I walk in place. I have to actually move around a bit. So I do loser laps around my house or office or I pace in front of my computer.
  • When I have wine I make sure that I have the calories saved up for it at the end of the day and strictly measure out my servings. If I really just NEED my huge glass filled to the top I measure out my wine and fill the rest with a flavored seltzer. That way I feel like I'm getting a huge, rewarding glass of wine with only…

  • This was originally a side dish my husband made for dinner, but I eat it as a dessert sometimes as it is on the sweeter side. Use a cheese grater to grate a bunch of sweet potato. Heat some coconut oil in a skillet until it is melted. Then add the sweet potato and cook it until it is tender, stirring occasionally. Then add…
