Well I got a little gung-ho to start off the year in terms of exercise. Got carried away with squats, kettle bell swings, and planks, meanwhile didn't allow enough recovery time and sure enough last Sunday my hamstring tightened up while running. I had to really go slow this past week. Didn't work out at all only walking…

Nice. You had a good month, keep it up!

Like your new start @katjustkat Keep rolling along with it.

You're kicking serious butt @brittdee88 Awesome!

I would also caution on doing too much fasting for a prolonged period of time, rather than short sporadic bursts. About six months ago I found that I needed a break after having done regular fasting for several months. My thought is to try to stay closer to what is ultimately a sustainable pattern, otherwise it could get…

If I'm still posting here a year from now I'm going to start a "Jim's Sexy at Sixty Maintenance Thread".

Good job on the running Bob. If I had to guess I'd say the best I'm capable of right now would be an 8:30 mile, but slowly I am seeing incremental improvement so who knows.

Welcome calyse90 and good luck!

Same time I eat, by 8 pm I'm often nodding off. I just started going to bed earlier and getting up earlier. Actually really improves my daily productivity.

I think it could be just part of adaptation as Bob, suggested. What time of day are you having your meal?

The outdoor run was called off due to extreme cold of minus 10 deg.

Thank you!

Hey Bob, speaking of runs I have vowed to do a New Year’s Day early run, just to kick off the new year. It's supposed to be minus 8 in the morning.

Sarah? long time since you've posted. Hope you're doing well.

Thank you @brittdee88 and @katjustkat

If you're fine with the weight and love HIIT and resistance training even six days per week, then my only question would be why would you also be thinking to add fasting days? I'm not sure if those goals would be compatible as you need to be fueled for the higher intensity stuff. Many say you can do both, build muscle and…

What a year for you Brenda, you reached your goal and became the Queen of Maintenance!

Good job Tracey.

Congrats on a successful year Bob. You've improved fitness while losing weight. You can't ask for more than that.

I spent a lot of time last year working on combining exercise and fasting, so I will offer some suggestions. To me the whole reason for doing it is to train your body to be good at fat burning. Our bodies can burn glucose (sugar) or it can metabolize your own fat, become good at burning fat. It's like anything else, it…

I've done that before, it gives some perspective. I think we all have switched gears numerous times. Sometimes things work out, other times they dont.

Any loss in December is good news. Well done Sammy. On to 2018!

With all the family and food around you this time of year, about all you can do is have fun with it and get through the best you can without completely falling off the wagon. Sounds like you've struck the right balance.

Okay good. You better subscribe in order not to miss any.☺

Thanks Tracey. I put up a second video late last night.
