  • Hi Brenda, I've been away a long time but wanted to show up to support your renewed effort. You have shown the way for many and will no doubt do so again. We all have to restart now and again. Heaven knows how many times I've done so in my life. I so admire the spirit of always coming back from setbacks and never throwing…
  • Well done Darth, you've got this.
  • On my thread all comments are welcome! Thanks Karen. :) Slowing down definitely increases the appreciation of the food, and that is a good thing.

I tend to eat too…
  • Welcome Zoopis. I look forward to your updates. Good luck.
  • Being mindful is how I would describe how I'm trying to approach my meals now, especially in the sense of being mindful of not eating too fast. I still have to work on this so that I allow enough time for the sensation of fullness to set in.
  • thanks Darth, here is the link in case others want to check it out. https://www.dietdoctor.com/member/success-stories FYI at the end when I'm talking about how I can't stop because it's so simple I was talking about OMAD but they cut out the part where I said OMAD so it's sort of not clear what I was talking about.
  • I'm always doing OMAD, what I mean by IF is that I fasted a couple times per week for a few weeks. Essentially I skipped eating on Tuesday and Thursday so it gave me a couple of 48 hour fasts during the week. I'm just not into any longer fasting than that at this point. Skipping a day here and there isn't too hard though.

My goal for some time has been to…
  • Nice to see your progress Tracey. Keep it up.
  • Thanks all, it was really no big thing. I just figured out that I need to stay in touch with the fasting side of things. Just to remind my body that it's not going to be a feast every day. A schedule of cycling between feasting and fasting has always been something that made sense to me.
  • Thanks Bob. I'm doing well. I've done a little intermittent fasting over the past two weeks (fasted two days per week) and this morning hit a new all time adult low of 165 pounds. Just wanted to move the needle down a bit before getting back into sustaining mode. After not doing any fasting for the past seven months or so,…
  • Britt I just wanted to say that your progress on this latest thread is amazing. Great job and kudos for the perseverance. To my eye it appears that since you started talking about LC around April 1st that it has really taken off with very consistent reductions. I think this is somewhat significant to see a recent surge…
  • I started at 57 years old and lost 180 pounds. If I can do it so can you. Good luck!
  • Sammy you're analyzing the hell out of April. Awesome!
  • Welcome and good luck Josie
  • Good job Alex.
  • Sounds like a good plan, we have to be able to adapt as needed. Nothing in life is linear. Good luck
  • Oh yeah, rub it in why don't ya.☺
  • I've been looking for options to break out of my normal routine as well, and this deli tray approach I think is a great idea. A variety of cheeses, olives, crackers, and a few types of deli meats would be an awesome way to break things up without getting too carby. This is something I might do this weekend for a change of…
  • Change of plans. It's supposed to be 21 degrees tomorrow morning around race time, so I'm going to wait for warmer weather. It's April for crying out loud!
  • I decided I'm going to do another 5K on Saturday. I've got the bug now.
  • I'm running min 4 days per week, sometimes 5. I'm not tracking mileage but I'd estimate it at around 20 miles per week.
  • Thanks Bob. The funny thing is before I had the idea to run this 5K I had no racing schedule in mind. I was just waiting for warmer weather to decide what I might want to do. But after last Saturday now I've got the bug. I'm thinking about what's next. It was a lot of fun so I'll probably start looking for other events,…
  • Thanks Britt. I don't think it's due to training inflammation because I really haven't been doing anything out of the ordinary in terms of training. However I should add something to the story. Today I weighed in at 170.4, so that whole gain I spoke about has been wiped out in the last six days. And I realized that there…

  • Great job on Microscope March Sammy, you really hit it out of the park. On to Analysis April. And congrats on the result of your surgery.
  • This is so true, gaining control is what it's all about. And once you do gain control and realize that you're no longer a slave to cravings there is no better feeling. Keep up the great work!
  • Okay thanks, I'm struggling these days to keep up with all the threads. Analyzing April. I like it.
