Welcome! I used to hate running, now I run at least 3 times a week in the morning and my goal is to run a 10K race every month :) Medium-term goal is to build up my mileage to 15K and half-marathon. If all goes well, the LA Marathon in 2019 is in my sights!

Welcome Rita! Congrats on the 20lbs loss, tho agreed that 2 years is a long time without seeing more significant progress. The MFP is a great resource to push you to where you need to go. What's your diet / exercise routine like now?

Welcome Heather! When I was just starting out, ANY progress was good progress when it came to building good logging habits. One tip is to log your meal before you eat it. At the start, you don't need to be super-precise either. You just need to build the habit OF logging, you'll naturally get more precise over time when…

Welcome Emily and congrats on the 50lbs loss! In terms a "not totally awful" cardio routine, I highly recommend trying new activities totally out of your comfort zone just to see what it's like. I hated ellipticals / treadmills / stairmasters, but fell in love with a boxing class after being pushed by a co-worker to try it…

Welcome Mariah! The important thing is that you're learning about your body's strengths and weaknesses. No more guessing, it's about figuring out what issues you need to work-around and find your path forward. Update us when you hear more from the Dr!
