I'm in the exact same boat as you. Getting married in September and want to lose 10 pounds before I try on wedding dresses around April time. Then preferably another 10 pounds before I get married :)

Sugary cereals i.e most cereals. Not filling and high in sugar/calories for such a minute portion. Also hate drinking any sort of calories (apart from alcohol occasionally). You should drink to quench thirst not for taste.

I have almost your exact stats! I'm 27, 5 ft 7 and weight 11 stone 5. Has taken me a while to get there too. When I checked the BMI I found out i'm only now just inside the healthy bracket, seems absolutely ridiculous to me that I need to lose another stone at least to be mid way in the bracket. To lose another stone would…

It is extremely hard for women in general to gain loads of muscle and look bulky due to our genetics and hormones. Also, whether you're a man or a woman, you need to eat A LOT of calories to bulk out - weight training will help you shed fat and look more defined and toned. It isn't the best at burning calories though so…

I tried Slimming World for around 3 months once and lost next to nothing - literally like 1 or 2 pounds. I honestly believe SW is great for people who are quite overweight (3+stones to lose) and didn't eat very well in the first place. It encourages people to cook healthy meals who might have relied on convenience food…

Do I still need to turn on negative calorie adjustment if I've set my activity level to sedentary? Also, I've always wondered....MFP still counts you for doing steps even if you're set as sedentary, so I'm wondering why my fitbit starts adding calories burned from 1000 steps onwards? It doesn't add a lot, but it adds none…

You will still lose on 1400/1500 calories looking at your stats. Looking at your food diary though, you are eating nearly entirely processed foods. If you ate a more balanced diet and included fruit and veg as well as preparing some of your own meals, you would get a lot more bang for your buck. You would probably find…

I cant see this setting anywhere on MFP..can you be a little more specific on where to find this as I think this will help. Thank you

Thanks everyone - starting to wonder why I even bought a Fitbit now!

Wine. I always promise myself I will only have one glass....but that nearly always ends up being at least a bottle. Then my willpower vanishes and I get a kebab on the way home. I wish I could be that person who can have just "one drink"

You're all right. Weight loss is definitely my priority and I need to prove this to myself. Doesn't help that this is the worse time of year to cut down, but hey ho!

Haha yes it is my birth year....i'm not trying to imply i'm old, just trying to say that hangovers get worse year by year. This is definitely a case me for to cut down, I realise this. Its easy for people who aren't massively into their drink to say "cut down" but I adore wine. Not necessarily in quantity, its about the…

No i honestly feel hungover on 2 glasses of wine. It gets worse with age

Toxikon I think its a mixture of all of those things! I don't necessarily have to have drunk a lot for me to have this hangover eating problem. Think the problem is when i'm feeling a little tender, I dont have the motivation or the guilt factor that I usually would to stop. Eating lots of carbs does also help nurse the…
