I have a smart scale myself and when I wrote about it a few smart scale nazi's did reply, by saying they are incorrect. I am aware that smart scales can be off, THOUGH, in my case, I went overtime down from 18 % of fat to 6% of fat. Even if this is not accurate, I did lose, the figures do not deny this. What I do notice is…

If you add more cardio, you tend to lose muscle mass too. I am a long distance runner, not into bulking since I have to carry it around. Eat healthily, and keep what you are doing, slowly but gradually your fat percentage goes down. Another way is like me, follow Keto, since I follow it, my endurance increased, got leaner,…

My previous wife, she was a hell of a chef. At the moment following Keto, and my GF seems to be a good Keto chef. :)

Hi Darius, I follow the Keto lifestyle, It made me lose weight, got me more stamina due to my addiction to run, overall I am a more happy person. Though, if you follow Keto, you need to log also, and binging is over. First, you need to get rid of all what is "bad" in your cupboard and buy the healthy ingredients which you…

I follow strict Keto, less than 5 carbs a day. Waking up, I have my bulletproof coffee, homemade recipe. After I go for a run, 15+ km a day, usually around 20.

I'm the most boring keto follower ever, don't have much of cooking inspirations, so my "diet" is same during weekdays. Though it works for me. I will follow this until the mirror says it is okay :)

I did see the scale up to 99. something kg, and refused to see the three-digit number so I started to run and "diet'. Those days I didn’t have a clue and lost a lot of weight AND muscles, because I did hunger myself. Ran a few half marathons, a full marathon and daily like 10km and up. Lowest weight those days, 77kg, no…

I do confess I have chocolate cravings, planing to eat a square, but end up eating the whole bar. I will find an excuse for it when I am confronted with it. Chocolate forever!

Vismal, I did read that when you started to workout, you did do a lot of cardio first, reached a level and than started to lift. YOu said that you regret this and prefer to combine, like cardio and lifting. Can you explain to me, why you do regret this. I am doing the same, lots of cardio, to reach a certain fat percentage…

What motivated me was, I was standing on a digital scale, and did see the numbers 99.7 kg. That moment I thought, I dont want to see the 100 and started to excercise vigorously. I never did see the scale above 100, and my low point was 77 kg in my adult years a few years back. Though because of several reasons I started to…

Good advise, plain and simple. I can add it will take willpower, backbone. The will to change, the view in the mirror. I don't want to sound to harsh though.

In my opinion the database is a big trash can, the nutritional info is a disaster, or you are searching for a needle in a haystack. A better way is to create your own foods, scan the barcode or in case of for example veggies, search online for the nutrition info. Eventually your own database will be pretty accurate. Or…

I am not an emotional foodie, though I have a craving for chocolate, any day, time or whatever emotion.

Agree, they are not 100% accurate, though you are able to see a number, and if the numbers are going down, for fat, going up for muscle mass, it is a good thing to see. For example, I went down from 18 kg of fat to 10 kg of fat, this is a number you can not deny.

If you want to have more insights in the way you lose or gain weight, buy a proper scale. Any smart scale will do, though I have a Withings. They will track your weight, your fat mass, your muscle mass and water. This will give you a better view about your progress. A cheap version of a smart scale is the old fashioned…

I am on a calorie deficit, and work out, mainly cardio. When I want to reach a goal, weight loss and low body fat percentage, I don't care about muscle mass, I don't eat back my exercise calories. I feel fine by it, but as you can read above, other people can have problems with it.
