@zdyb23456 I HATE being interrupted during a run. It throws me completely off! Hopefully tomorrow people will leave you alone for the 14miler. :)

Yeah there is one i use if im standing in one place for a length of time but for the most part its a lot of moving around (bar/kitchen area) Ive heard so many people just deal with PF pain forever on and off. Its def. not the worst injury i think is out there. Im just hoping to hold tight through Jan 28 for my marathon

@greenolivetree i honestly cant point to a single thing that may have caused the PF. I know that for as long as I can remember I had the tightness and "tingling" when I first got out of bed in the morning - so much so that I thought this was normal! lol I thought everyones feet felt like that after sleeping. The actual…

5 mile progression run on the treadmill this morning.. contrary to popular opinion i actually dont mind the treadmill. I chose it today tho because its the only option i really have for a softer surface as the constant concrete sidewalk kills my feet. Listened to the playlist i have planned for my upcoming 10k. i am…

9 mile run this morning. 2 mile easy, 5 miles tempo with 1 min recovery every mile, 2 miles easy/cool down. Though, the 2 mile "cool down" didnt feel easy at all. Got to test out my new shoes so thats always fun. Actually, they are the same brand style (Altra Torin 2.5) I wore at my last half marathon but I found them on…

@7lenny7 i have a pretty flat marathon coming up in Jan (granted in fl pretty much all our races are flat) but ill def take your advice and practice some down hills :) @RunRachelleRun thx for the advice. i love the squishy sketchers. its the only reason i go in the store (luckily there is an outlet nearby!) i also try and…

@kevaasen apple watch has great gps and pace tracking features. I was just looking for something where I didnt have to keep looking at my watch. I could just "set it and go." Maybe I should create the app myself? lol @greenlikeatree i bought a few different versions of sketchers go walk shoes and flip flops for the…

Does anyone out there know of any running apps that you can set your desired pace and it will buzz or beep if you leave that pace? For ref I used iphone/apple watch.

Rest day. Except for the fact that I work on my feet for 9 hours :( . I keep telling my podiatrist thats the reason for the PF and NOT running. lol

Easy 3 mile run this morning. For my easy runs, I like to pick a fav album and just listen to it entirely and run by feel. Todays choice "The Peace and The Panic" by Neck Deep. i <3 pop punk

14 mile long run today. Was kind of dreading it because my last long run was terrible. This one, however, was great. Thanks to this little calorie tracking program, I found that I haven't been taking in enough calories. I eat all day and thought the small meals and snacks added up to ALOT more than they actually were. I…

Seeing you guys post your runs with weather stats scares me! lol it has finally cooled down a bit in the mornings (around 65) makes for a nice run. Seeing actual winter temps from around the country makes me want to huddle under a giant blanket!

Im kinda late to this post.. but I am currently training for my first marathon (jan 28 2018) I researched EVERYthing I could find online and ended up making up my own plan based on what I know about myself, my goals, and a world of information. I figured that it was the best way to keep me motivated, keep me (semi) injury…

Congrats on donating your hair. That is a great thing to do. Do YOU like your hair? That's all the matters :) Ive had every length from my current pixie to long hair that fell to my bottom. Ive been married forever so I have never been concerned with what others think. My husband loves me either way <3 Actually, he refuses…

Im training for the Celebration (fl) Marathon Jan 28. Ive also signed up for a 10k in St. Augustine (nov 12) and a half marathon in Sarasota (dec 10). I find that the smaller races every 6 weeks or so keep me motivated and on track instead of just training for a race that seems far off in the future.

Cuz running is awesome! ;)

Hi! Im Bobbie from Orlando,Fl. I took up running seriously about 2 years ago. I grew up in dance (ballet, jazz, tap) and have always enjoyed exercise in one form or another. I have def caught the running bug. I run about 100-150 miles per month. I completed my first half this past march and will be completing my first full…

Hi! Just joined MFP. In the middle of marathon training and wanted to make sure I was eating enough (turns out Im not. lol) My goal in November is around 150 miles. This includes a 10k on the 12th.

I NEED music on my runs. I even create playlists to match my goal times for races... i know i should be crossing the finish line when "x" plays. My favorite bands to run to are Blink 182, Mayday Parade, Frank Turner, Neck Deep, My Chemical Romance, Panic!, American Authors, Taking Back Sunday, Brand New, and State Champs…
