The young lady called and came over today. She hugged me at the door, I thought she was gonna cry. She was shocked that the dishes matched, that there were so many different basic items. But she teared up when she saw the "pretties" , telling me she can't take them. I told her she has to, unless she doesn't like them. (…

Got some donations packed up today. Called a church that's taking donations and they gave me a number to call. Called, and that lady said she knew someone who just got a fema trailer and needs everything. So, I'm waiting for her to call, so we can set a meet time. So happy someone can use these things!

I have a herniated disc in my lower back. I was told that motion exercise is best. Swimming, walking, biking, for at least 20 minutes. Swimming is best, but walking helped me a lot. I only made it to the end of my driveway the first day. And wasn't sure I could get back to the house. I took 1 more step the next day, and…

Pulled all my cookbooks out and only kept the ones I actually look at. Donating the rest. My spare bedroom is getting full of donations, but I'm planning on packing everything up this weekend. Have a great weekend all :)

Just make sure its cold water, warm or hot starts to cook the rice. Guess how I know that.

Put uncooked rice into the vase, maybe 1/8 inch, add a little dish soap, then cold water, to fill vase about 1/3 full. The rice will scrub the parts not reachable. Shake and swish around.

Wonderful job! I try to do at least 15 minutes a day. One little thing done, keeps me inspired. I've run into many horror shows here, with many more to come I'm sure. Lol.

Yesterday I pulled everything out of the cupboards above and to the left of the sinks. Washed them all ( cupboards). and put a lot of dishes in the dishwasher. I washed about a dozen vases, but will have to "rice" wash them today. Only keeping a few of them. Rearranged where things go, so it makes sense, and decluttered…

Congratulations on getting so much decluttering done. I like the thought of just worrying about your things.

Today I pulled an extra set of dishes out of the cupboard, filled the dishwasher, and got it going. Found a church in the area collecting for hurricane victims. I'm getting a load ready to donate to them. I'll have to pull my other dish sets out of the back room and get them cleaned up too. ( How did I end up with 5 sets…

When my mom died last year, my dad's identity was stolen. He's 85 now. He was notified, and it was controlled, but its a scary thing. Now, when he gets calls from numbers he doesn't know, he yells *kitten* and hangs up.

Congratulations on getting rid of a box! It might not seem like much, but it adds up, believe me. I'm kind of shocked sometimes by the difference such little things make.
-
I like the idea of doing something extra every time you are in the bathroom! I'm not formally exercising, just trying to move more, and declutter/ clean. This is a great way to do a little extra!

The change is amazing! The work you've put into your home, and the stress free time because of it, you decided to give yourself, has paid off.

Today's task is the bakeware cupboard. I am getting rid of a bundt pan. Since I was washing that, I pulled out some wine glasses I'm getting rid of, and washed them too. Making progress! Hoping to find a church in the area that is still collecting home goods for hurricane Florence victims.

I've decided that I need slide out shelves for my pots and pans cupboard. There is a lot of wasted space!
-
Today's task is to go through pots, pans and the lids. I have 1 cupboard to do. Have a great day!

I love you! I'm keeping it, if I'm tearing up trying to get rid of it, I have to. Hubby thought of a way we can use it, I love him too. Thanks my friend

NewLifestyle4me I'm usually the same way. I love getting things out, and getting things organized. I think I'm having trouble with this 1 little thing because it was my mom's.

I started with 1 drawer. I'm nowhere near finished, but I do at least 15 minutes a day. I'm following a declutter calendar from Home Solutions 101. It gives a task a day that takes no more than 15 minutes. Clothes are another good place to start. Have fun!

Isn't it gratifying? I keep a garbage bag in my laundry basket now. When I fold something I don't want, or doesn't fit, I put it in the bag for donation. Congratulations!

Today's task was to declutter the food storage dishes, I threw some things out. There's a cute little Tupperware container that was my mom's, I've never used it. I put it in the dishwasher, so I have time to talk myself into giving it up.
-
Congratulations! Good for you, realizing that when you get back to that size, you'll want new and stylish clothes. You will have earned them!

Well now I'm blushing! 😆 Thank you my friend. The reality is that I've always been bad about housework. If I can't say( type) it out loud, I will continue to delude myself. I'm so much happier now that I'm actually making progress! Also, congratulations on your laundry room! Better is perfect, most times!
-
I haven't scrubbed the cupboard doors or drawer fronts in almost 15 years. Its way beyond time to. As I declutter one, I'm scrubbing it! Thanks for the encouragement, good luck with your laundry room!

Today's task is to clean out the kitchen junk drawer. Since I did this a couple months ago, I'm gonna pull everything out, wipe it down, and the scrub the drawer front. Then I'm sure I'll be motivated to get after something else. 😆

Today's declutter task was to clean out the silverware drawer. I got rid of some odd spoons and forks, well they are in the donate box. I also went through a pile in my bedroom corner. I attacked the pile because I used to have a bag of yarn there. I was worried that it was still there. 😆

@ NEWLIFEstyle4ME thanks! I'm so happy I found this thread. I'm surprising myself with my persistence, and have all of you to thank for keeping me motivated.

Girl!!!! You are so inspiring! You're almost to goal! That's incredible!

Monday's task is always to read about the upcoming tasks for the week. I read it, and then cleaned out 2 cupboards under the counter. Got rid of a few things, washed the shelves, inside the doors, and scrubbed the outside of the doors. Put the things I'm keeping back, but in places that make more sense. By the way, I found…
