I have sugartooth, the only way I am able to stay off sugar for the past 4 weeks is to give up Sugar. I do not touch anything which has sugar added to it, it means 80% of products there, this includes artificial sweeteners, instead I have a banana, pomegranate or fruit. One of my favourite is, one cup of boiled blackchick peas with a pinch of salt, one fine chopped green thai chilli, 1/4 onion cut finely, 1/2 tomato cut small. mix it with a dash of tumeric, black pepper and fresh lime juice. Keeps me going

Being an Indian, My suggestion is to look into Indian vegetarian recipes. As far as I know Indian food has the most vegan choices ever, this is confirmed by my trainer (who is Caucasian) who is allergic to wheat and milk.
