But I think the big difference is that I don't EXPECT people to do anything.... but I am grateful when they do. It would be unfair of me to go around mad at everyone for not catering to me. I don't expect my BF to do anything, but it is really nice when he wants to help.
This is really true! It’s no good expecting…

My husband has been so helpful as well. He started taking me for 40 min walks after supper every night for the past 3 months. He started in the beginning, because walking really helps me to stay out of depression, but it’s so helpful for weight loss too. We look forward to our post prandial walks, it’s like date night…

I have a blouse that is tight on my arms. I can’t wait until the sleeves are loose. Also, my coat is tight around my hips. My goal is for it to be loose at some point this winter.

One thing I’m thinking of doing with my daughter, is getting her a step tracker. I know with some brands you can link them to your own phone. Give her a small goal at first, and together think of some reward that motivates her that she can earn if she hits that goal in a week, whether a daily total or a weekly total.…

I’m been craving potato chips, but have a hard time keeping to just one serving. So I bought Pringle chips because they are easy to count and make a nice stack. Not quite as good as normal potato chips, but it satisfies the craving, and is easy to keep to one serving.

I am good about not snacking at night, when I drink a cup of decaf tea, with milk and sugar, 60 calories for 11oz. It keeps my mouth occupied and is a little sweet but not too much. I can make it last pretty long while reading or watching something. Plus, I think the small amount of caffeine curbs my appetite. I’ve also…

I’m also on a news diet! I asked my husband to block all news sites on my phone and I am so much happier! I do check in with him occasionally to ask what’s going on, but he tried to only check once a week. I wonder if you could do the same with a friend, if you aren’t married. I haven’t missed it a bit! I also struggle…

Aaand, it’s not syncing again!! I’m really getting tired of this! If it isn’t fixed by the end of today, I’m getting rid of this app!

I’m wondering if you’re actually struggling with depression. You mention crying almost every night, and needing more sleep even though you aren’t very active. I struggle with depression, and crying almost every day, feeling exhausted without activity, feeling helpless and hopeless, and lack of motivation are all things…

I got a Fitbit years ago and sent it back, precisely because it did count my hand movements as steps. But this Inspire HR one doesn’t. I’ve worn it for 5 months now, even while I wasn’t on MyFitnessPal, so I’ve had a long time to test it’s accuracy. And it’s very accurate. I did test it against another pedometer I used to…

Thank you for your responses! I do have a Fitbit inspire HR. I am sedentary by nature, so have it set on the lowest activity level, but strive for at least 10,000 steps daily. So if I don’t give up and move, I don’t earn those extra calories. I have never had much energy, so prefer getting steps and being active to hard…

I, too, have a completely untrustworthy appetite. I’ve just only gotten back to MyFitnessPal. I stopped before because I was always hungry after doing uncatecorizable exercise. I now have a Fitbit Inspire HR, which stands for heart rate and it’s been incredibly useful. Because it has a heart rate monitor, it tracks how…

I don’t have any stories to share, just that I am so deeply sorry for your immeasurable loss. Please be kind to yourself as you go along this part of your path! Also, I weigh more than 200 lbs. We can both do this!

Me too! It’s so annoying! I’ve been going onto MyFitnessPal website and uninstalling my Fitbit and then getting it again. It will then update my steps and earned calories but it doesn’t update automatically. It started around 6pm last night. I feel calmer now that I figured out how to sync them, but it’s annoying. By the…

I can’t wait for that for myself! Congratulations!!

I bought a really pretty skirt and dress that I can fit into, but are tight. My goal is to fit easily into them by the middle of summer. I was inspired by the dragon pants poster on here a while back. It’s very motivating!

I love, love, looooove rhubarb!!!!!!

Sometimes how much we weigh isn't the most important thing we are dealing with, or even close.
This is so true! I regained during a relapse into depression due to extremely painful events which took most of the joy from life. Eating helped numb the pain, and while I really needed to find a better way to cope with…

Great idea! We’re going to have to do that too!

That’s great! My husband has lost 34 lbs and I’ve lost 16lbs, so I have a ways to go to catch up.

My husband gave me a hug and said “Hey, there’s less of you to hug!” :)
-
So I bought some medium sized shirts and they’re tight, so my goal is to have them not be skin tight by the end of summer.

I can cross my legs comfortably again now. It’s so nice!

My mother always made homemade bread, which we toasted for breakfast. I still must have toast in the mornings, even though I don’t often bake bread, along with hot black tea with milk and sugar. My mom drank so much tea, we would make her cups of it throughout the day, “sugar milk tea”. So I make a point of drinking it too…

My mom just said, while on a walk together, “You really have lost weight. I can tell your hips are smaller.” It made me very happy because I have huge hips. I don’t mind it people notice that I’m smaller, because I know I really was big before.

I want to be only overweight and not obese and that number is the same weight that I was when I first signed up here 5 years ago, but didn’t use the site. But it still shows up, so I’m doubly motivated to get to that number!
-
That is so great!!! And congratulations to you and to the parents!

Me too. I lost 34 lbs, then couldn’t handle feeling constantly deprived and hungry during a lot of stress, so I gained it all back. I am now eating what my maintenance will be at my goal weight and am losing weight, 14 lbs, but more importantly learning how to retrain my eating. I know the weight will come off more slowly…

I had a whoosh and am now officially overweight and not obese!!!

I am an RN and just want to say that over dosage on Tylenol is indeed real and serious. There are protocals followed at hospitals that ensure that patients don't get more than a certain amount per day. And absolutely kidneys fail because of excessive toxins, such as alcohol or over medication.
