The courts find these worthless disclaimer clauses are meritless. Crossing your fingers behind your back when speaking falsehoods does make everything okay. Though us Americans assume innocence until proven guilty, we still need caveat emptor...unless you have money for lawyers. 💲

You are already a capital "W" winner in my book. :) For those who missed it, it's a good vid for us intrepid runners. Sisyphus and the Impossibe Dream by Casey Neistat https://youtu.be/9IiTdSnmS7E?si=fU_F1jlj4JW3MglK

I had a minor outpatient surgery on Wednesday. A junior "Resident" was going to do it, right beforehand a senior "Attending" physician walked in to verify the setup. He said to me "You are a big one." before he started talking to the Jr. physician on how to slice me open.

I was in a conversation regarding the ethics of the US pharmaceutical industry and it's profit incentive, and it morphed and was relocated here as a personal ethics subject. BTW: This week Novo announced a new 16.5 billion U.S. manufacturing contract, and an 11 billion acquisition purchase of three US manufacturering…

I just watched it again, now I am going to do my scheduled run today. I have a heavily bandaged 6cm stiched up incision on my shoulder from Wednesday's surgery. I am awaiting lab results, but I am confident it'll be fine. Apparently, as Casey showed in his youtube, humans have the capacity to be resilient creatures. Why…

I didn't even know someone could 'Follow' categories. I must have unfollowed them all on day 1.

From now on I am starting all of my threads with this. Thank you.

I'll tell ya, Match, Tinder, Hinge, OKCupid, Plenty of Fish are all HORRIBLE! Strava "runner people" seems like a brilliant social filter, rather Social Media (AI).
-
I have never signed up for Strava, there are impressionable runner girls there? I may have to give it a look. 🐶

There is always a Ramen House, because Ramen is delicious. You have been a role model and have had great progress. So you went through a Ramen House event (lucky you) as you get back to your routine and basics, it will work, just as it always has.

I wasn't so lucky, last week pathology identified a basal cell on my shoulder, I am going in to get it excised and stitched up on Wednesday.

I was bamboozled, the weatherman said rain last night and then hard rain for the next couple of days. I was planning this morning for my first treadmill run in years. When I woke I tried to hear the rain on the roof, and nothing. I opened the draperies and was greeted with clear blue skies, a light breeze, and 60 degree…

Oops, that was my January loss.

Some electronic dodad. I have: $20 - Fitbit $250 - Android phone $400 - Garmin Any one of them will do an adequate job of tracking distance. I do not carry my phone with me, I usually have my Garmin watch strapped on. Any one of these will also sync with MFP so the milage is magically uploaded here for tracking.

C'mon don't exaggerate it's only going to be 8.5 inches! Stay safe.... lots of mud and lots of water are coming. Thanks for the link, I'll take a look.

February Running Goal: 13 runs, 40 miles 2.7 lbs. December weight loss (247.5 lbs -> 244.8 lbs) I'm Chris; I moved to San Diego, California, in 2023. I've been on MFP since 2009, and during that time, I've had some wild swings in health and fitness. My fittest years were 2010 and 2019 when I did lots of food tracking,…

It is a pretty good skill to learn for getting the most out of MFP. Somehow you get to the person's profile page. MFP makes it a little tricky. You might click on their name (my name @chris_in_cal ) Once there you should see a "go to the MFP profile" button. Then somehow get to their profile page. On their profile page,…

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phentermine/topiramate This older weightloss drug "Qsymia" is what was prescribed and it arrived in the post yesterday. It took about eight months to get this appointment with a medical Doctor. She listened and was helpful. They have two options that they offer, and both come with zoom…
