Hey @John772016 toes are nothing to mess with...recover and live to run another day. I ran 3.67M at 13'18 out at the lake.It is a nice warm day, high seventies, dry with a breeze.

Mine was a six and I moved it down to five. I'll report back if I notice any differences.

I'm usually not thinking about my HR much, many people do though. If it is particularly important I understand a chest ecg heart rate strap (Like Polar H10) are significantly more accurate than a watch-based optical HR…the ecg straps are considered 'accurate' and watches are approximations. It might be interesting.

On the webpage for Garmin Connect, under "Account Settings" and then "User Settings" and then "Personal Information" I have a dropdown option for "Activity Class". IDK if this is messing with your GC metrics…what is yours set to? I can set mine between 0-10 (Coach potato to Olympian) Consider adjusting yours to something…

@SummerSkier Dedication to a running streak while having a broken foot is remarkable. I hope you and your doctor set you up to heal soon and get back to 100%

I ran 2.92M at 13'11 out at the lake. Today's plan had five intervals mixed in.

I ran 2.43M at 13'48 last evening and forgot to post. I'm thinking of you @AlphaHowls condolences on the loss of your mom.

I ran 1.92M at 14'21. I am back on the Garmin ecosystem, with a Forerunner 265s. My year with a Pixel Watch 3 was an adventure. It's a really nice watch that I like a lot. And it makes my whole day pretty easy with alarms, and it plays my music and podcasts. The weightlifting app it has "HEVY" is fantastic, lastly it's…

@kgirlhart Hopefully tomorrow will be better. Get well soon, hopefully a holiday weekend will take care of it. @martaindale Better than me, I am deeply resistant to setting an alarm a running before breakfast and reading the newspaper (really the web) @ContraryMaryMary I gotta go, all your NZ pics are so appealing. For our…

July Running Goal: 40 miles 6.9 lbs.weight loss (190.3 lbs -> 183.5 lbs) ———————————————————— I'm Chris; I live in San Diego, California. I'm enjoying running a bit more lately. I'm not sure what comes first- when running is good life it good, or when life is good running is good. IDK. I'm battling a new issue, my shoulder…

Here we are @swenson19d @nhgodiva @ummleeban @showjumper @craig10rookie @TheBugaloos @sugarfree1234 @reyoflightphoto for the July Running Challenge. It is the beautiful thing about this thread, like Groundhog's Day, last month's runs are a memory and we all get to start again fresh in the new month's challenge. I hope to…

I ran 3.02M at 11'50 out at the lake. 37.34 miles total-- I surpassed my 33 mile June goal.

Thanks @AlphaHowls for setting this up.

The Western States 100 is happening today. There is no snow on the course. Here's the elevation profile. And "Yes" they do start down on the left and run up. 100 miles up hill in the Sierra Mountains. 14 hours is the record.

I ran 2.28M at 13'04 out at the beach after work today. It seems like the world is out on holiday by the seashore. A happy scene with sandy sunburnt people.

I just found a ten-week beginner weekly hill training running group here with the San Diego Track Club. Nahhhh, that sound very fun, very cool, very social, and very hard. (Maybe) SDTC Metro Workout JUL 1 6:00 PM Tuesday, Meet Up Spot Sixth Ave & Olive St Beginner / Trail 1 of 10 weeks of hill training! ⛰️📈 4-5…

@SummerSkier In the great scrambles to find alternatives to the Newsfeed users explored a bunch of the alternatives. For me the MFP food diary is the most significant part. I tried an alternative food diary app "MacroFactor" and it works for me. It's such a better fit, that that app has been a part of me recommitting to…

I love the bear photos when I see them (on tv) I always wonder how or if they get enough food. @Mari33a Canadians are sinewy so perhaps a couple, but an American usually will get a bear through the whole winter. :) 🤣

I ran 2.76M at 12'04. A nice run, I didn't feel leadfooted. Pretty perfect weather...sorry to hear about all you heat dome (and NZ ice dome) runners.
-
I ran 3.08M at 13'25. It was a set of intervals. This training plan is starting it's taper. I don't really need it, but why not take the taper and enjoy it.

That's a world class fisheye shot of people relaxing at the water's edge. Good luck with the jetlag and all the best on your family holiday.

@klrogahn2106 Welcome back. I was born and raised there. I often wish I was still there, I'd offer to meet up for workouts….

Hi @andrefcluz , I don't understand either. It is such a basic non-complex piece of discrete data. MFP 'reading' a piece of "weight" data seems as if it is the lowest hanging fruit. How could there be anything proprietary or technical challenges about importing weight. Weight (and calories) is the most important metric for…

I ran 4.58M at 13'02 out at my favorite lake run. It is a perfect five miles around with no cars or intersections. For you "I love the quiet crack of dawn to finish my run before I start my day" types. I am on holiday so last night I told myself I was going to run first thing in the morning. This morning I ultimately began…

@SummerSkier [Are your shoes new? My shin always starts to bother me when the foam wears on my shoes. Even after only a couple hundred miles or months (I think both can be the issue distance or age).] I'm thinking about this too. I bought two different pairs of new shoes about two months ago and decided to run in one and…

Getting dumped has always preceded a nice weight drop.
-
I ran 2.31M at 13'49. I dogged it. It was hot, I was feeling dehydrated, and I felt a shin twinge in my ancient stress fracture site. I did make it through the workout though.

@quilteryoyo That is a good looking car. Have fun!
