I have hypothyroidism since 1998. Before that I use to control my weight much easier, now I can do it but I have to workout more and eat much less. That how it is for me. ;-)

They are right about not using headphones or earphones in the race. If there is an emergency you can not listen what is happening or if the security people have to talk to you it would be difficult to them. Go to a profesional nutritionist like I did. I'm 5'8 also. She measured my wrist bone and told me that I should be in 127 lbs because I'm a small frame size. If I was medium I should be 141 and large 156. So go and check that.

Wow you start it right away! I decided to start in January because I know I will not keep the commitment to the program in Christmas. I just did a round of Insanity and I will continue to do the Insanity DVDs (2nd part) this month to burn off those extra calories ;-).

There is no cardio en P90X. Here is your answer for the one and only Tony Horton. Follow the link http://www.beachbody.com/product/nl_477.do# You do plyo and the kempo thing but is not the kind of cardio that is going to pick up your heart rate.

Both are good workouts. Depends of what you want. Insanity is basically cardio all the time, plyo, calisthenics, etc... P90X is strengh training, there is no cardio in there. I began with Insanity because I want it to loose weight fast and get cardio endurance. Insanity is tough. A lot of jumping, push ups...is not for the…

In the beginning I was using "circuit training general" but then I found a math formula to calculate how many calories I burn doing Insanity. But if you can buy a Heart Rate Monitor with a calories counter, the better.
