16 miles today. Finishing the month with 158. About 30 years ago, I gave up alcohol and kept church. About 20 years ago, I reversed that. I am much happier.

@PastorVincent Skip tonight... run long early tomorrow. Also, I heard if you stop tee-totalling and start drinking, you can shave almost 7 seconds off your pace. Or at least not give a shlt if you don't. :)

Hmmm.... I think you should stop equivocating and go for at least 63 miles. You get 13 of those in a race, leaving just 50 to do in 3 weeks. You could dance that much at the festival...lol

I could never figure out why I would need a coozie. That beer is gone LONG before it has a chance to even think about warming up.

Hmmm... I routinely wash my ativan down with bourbon with no ill effects... but then again I have lots of experience washing things down with bourbon...lol

I am going to say 150 miles... but a cruise to Bermuda with my gf at the end of the month may cost me a mile or two.

So sorry to hear this. I am still slogging through my second divorce so I know what you are going through. It's crazy domestic shlt that caused my frequent disappearances and reincarnations. You'd think as a divorce lawyer I'd be better equipped to deal with it, but truth is I can fix other people's crap, but not my own...…

@girlinahat How long is your self-navigated race? And does that mean you are essentially self-supported or does that also mean the course is not marked very well? I ran a 50k a couple of years ago where property owners claimed the trail ran across their property... a few of them brandished rifles and took down/moved trail…

When I saw the name of this thread I wondered which half of you was the runner.

I am a very careless aid station eater. I hit them with reckless abandon and discovered you can get really cool stuff off the "hidden menu" if you just ask. Once on a particularly chilly race, I jokingly asked for bourbon and this dude pulled out a flask. I was thrilled.

Ahh... I just saw this complicated math formula and my eyes kinda glazed over. I never got to the diabetes part. Now it makes sense. I assumed it was the next thing up from heart rate monitors... which even they are too complicated for me and give me more information that I can process...lol... but I can see that running…

I had to google BG because I didn't know what it was, or if I had it, or if it was contagious, or if I should test for it. I was getting a little worried because after reading about how people here had it, it sounded bad and I thought I could possibly die on one of my runs if I didn't find a cure. Then I saw it was just…

7 miles today...142 for the month

I live north of Pittsburgh, but I like running in Ohio.... The Buckeye Trail 50K and Bill's Badass 50K are great, fun races. I want to tackle the Mohican 50M next summer, but I heard the heat was a total beotch there this year.

Well, ain't you the craziest runner ever... Serious respect for those monthly miles. Parts would be falling off me if I tried that.
-
Lol... I will try to keep this one around for a little while...

Six weeks of running 30-35 miles per week, weights 3 days per week... 11 pounds lost

Oops.. I meant that for @81Katz

Thank you... Lol

It's young. I am 60. Not that I would ever want to be 36 again... Lol

Six weeks of running 35 miles a week and weight training 3 days a week...

Ain't dat da effin' truth....

While I did not "officially" participate in this month's challenge, I did 7 this morning bringing me to 130 miles for the month so far. I will formally set a goal and abide by @Stoshew71 's rules in July so as not to get ejected from the club.
