Running sandals are definitely a thing and they are in fact used for trail running... I have a friend who runs in nothing but sandals year round and has completed dozens of 50 and 100 mile trail races.

With a 10mm drop, I would feel like like I was running like this... Lol....

My Jesus run on the water to meet my July goal...

After your blood draw, just run on espresso... duh... :)

No... When is it?? For some reason I have not heard of that race... I'm driving back from vacation so I will check it out as soon as I get to a computer
-
I will be in for 160 miles
-
3.75 today... Fulfilled my obligation to the group and made my goal

Got 6 on the boat yesterday... 146.50 for the month... Hope I can find 3.5 by tomorrow... but all these mojitos are conspiring against me

Put me in the "hate the treadmill" group... I have not run on one in over 3 years... I have running gear to accommodate all weather conditions and temperatures

@shanaber I get the points because I have an Amazon card. And if you are going to fly in from California and you want me to drive from Pittsburgh just to run a 5k at Lambeau, we better find another longer race nearby around the same time or at least plan a long trail run.... Driving 750 miles to run 3 is tough to…

Lol... yes and yes.

I am envious reading about these Packer runs... even though I lived in Wisconsin for about 12 years, I never made it to Lambeau. I don't get back there too often although my oldest daughter lives out there... I have driven out there to do the Glacial Trail Ultra 50M in Greenbush, and want to do the Kettle Moraine 100…

@midwesterner85 I read that too and I think that was the issue. Even after all the running I have done, I still don't have a "tried and true" approach to hydration/electrolytes on long runs and races. Like I have mentioned before, I have had my most success with steady, solid intakes of Tailwind, but I am apparently…

Lol!!

These made me laugh... I used to harbor lingering feelings of apprehension and retribution about ditching church a long time ago, but when God showed me Merrell running shoes and long empty trails, I realized that he didn't like church either.

@PastorVincent I work in Butler, but I get down your way periodically... my tattoo artist is in Lawrenceville too... but I could easily drive down just to introduce myself formally and get Tailwind... I am leaving on vacation Friday, so maybe we can do it when I get back... Thank you!

@midwesterner85 Good luck with your run today... hope you feel better. At the risk of TMI, after my long run on Saturday, I must have dehydrated a bit even though I thought I was drinking plenty, because yesterday I had an alarming amount of blood in my urine all day. It made for an uncomfortable run yesterday since I had…

@shanaber After getting my new Merrell Trail Glove 4s for free last week on Amazon Prime, I still had points, so this morning I ordered a bunch of Tailwind, a pair of running sunglasses, and to indulge my other passion, four copper skillets with lids.... after using up my points, I had to shell out $17.89. :)

What is stretching?

I am sorry to hear that. Mental health issues can be so debilitating. I suspect that if you get back on track with the right medications and right therapist, you can get yourself back on track. 10 pounds in 5 months is not the end of the world and you can get it back off. But for now you probably need to focus on being…

Lol... reminds me of a favorite poem about me: "I hate people. I wish I was drunk. The end."

I have a Garmin Forerunner 25... I get 10 hours of GPS usage which is plenty to get me through my 50k races. And it was inexpensive... about $125
