Portions don’t mean anything though. Google says a medium sized mango is 135calories - I wouldn’t really trust this without weighing etc. but for arguments sake you could eat 3 of these at 405 calories and call it your breakfast. As long as it fits into you allotted daily/weekly calories then who cares what someone…

I do very little exercise.
-
I did start at 1,000, but I read (and was told) about how unhealthy that was and moved up to 1,200 - so not really starving ^^’
-
Well I’m about 4lbs away from my goal and it’s been almost 4 weeks. Oops? I’m female, 5’4”, 25. Honestly I’ve never had any luck with “dieting” before until I started counting calories.. and then wooosh ~ it all came off
-
Well I’m only trying to go from 140 - 125, which isn’t really a huge loss?
-
Try not to lose hope if you don’t see lbs dropping off fast as first though. I tend to go relatively stable for a few days then a few lbs will drop off all in one go ^^
-
5kg is about 11lbs right? I’ve just lost that in under 4 weeks. OP - don’t starve yourself. I’ve been eating up to 1,300 daily and I’m losing weight relatively quickly - with little exercise beyond a short brisk walk each day.
-
I think it’s doable. I started at 140lbs and lost 11lbs in 3 and a half weeks. I have no idea about fat loss though.
-
Sometimes people just like to one up each other. It’s like seeing someone meet their weight goal triggers a kind of jealousy so you gotta find /something/ to shame that person about to repair your own ego. So you know, “who cares if they met their weight goal - they’re skinny fat and clearly aren’t working as hard as I am”
-
No, I only count water

Ah, that’s useful to know! Can I ask what sort of symptoms you were getting? I’m kinda concerned that I won’t know if my thyroid is out of whack. When I was first diagnosed I never really had any of the common symptoms, just lightheadedness and mood swings, thyroid was just one of the things that they happened to check. So…

Sorry, I worded that wrong. I’ve only been dieting for 3 weeks, I was just hoping that once I did reach maintenance it would go away - or at least back to more manageable levels.
-
Can I ask how long you’ve been living a healthier lifestyle? I guess the price of acne for weight loss is not so bad, but I was kinda hoping it’d settle once I reached maintenance.
-
Yeah absolutely. It’s way less miserable if you don’t be so hard on yourself with types of food. The only trouble I have with junk food is that there’s so many empty calories in it. If I’m restricting I really need to go for food that’s both lower in calories and gonna fill me up.

I’m 5’4, started at 140, down to 131 and going for 120 ^.^

Nvm

I wasn’t shaming her, I just don’t know how she manages to split the calories she says she eats into the kind of meals she stated plus the 3 snacks on top.
-
Slow loss is still loss. It’s easy to be impatient but try to stay strong - you’re going in the right direction :)
-
I’ve lost 9lb in 3 weeks and I’m just beginning to see a difference, but I feel you on being impatient with it.
-
I found it miserable until I decided to just focus on CICO. Now I eat whatever I like as long as I’m still in a deficit.
-
3 meals and 3 snacks a day sounds excessive to me.
-
From my second hand experience (my mums boyfriend joined up for a short awhile) WW is largely a money grabbing thing that doesn’t really want you to have full success - because then you stop giving them money. All you need to do to lose weight is create a calorie deficit, and you can either work that out for yourself or…
-
I’m 5’4” and maintain at 1,600 on minimal activity, so maybe you could try dropping to 1,300 - 1,500
-
Very low calorie diet - I think!
-
Ha. Yeah that’s fair. “1 serving” is equal to - ‘I have no idea what to write here”. The calories for the spaghetti was taken from the box of the ready meal - so that was accurate. The curry was calculated by looking at the calories on the packet of the premade sauce, weighing the chicken and then taking the calorie count…
-
Very accurate? I mean.. I dunno how else I can say it. I know my diary has a few sparse entries, but that’s only out of laziness for not writing the product details in - the calories themselves are counted accurately. What do you find questionable?
-
Ah, you edited your post ^^’ I don’t think anyone thinks they’re gonna maintain on 1,000 calories.. I respect your opinion on the calorie matter but I’m not sure you can judge my protein intake on two days of tracking (with most of my entries lacking any nutritional data) and without knowing what I’ve been eating for the…
-
Sorry, I should have stated I’ve been tracking on my own for 3 weeks before downloading the app ^^
-
From my experience, I am indeed accurately counting 1000 calories a day (there isn’t a single thing that enters my mouth that I don’t account for, and in cases of doubt I always round up), and I aside from a few days of adjustment I’m not feeling particularly hungry or low energy. My lifestyle is pretty sedentary at the…

I’m 5’4” on 1k - 1,200 :)
