Do you have issues like anxiety and depression? I would suggest getting evaluated by a psychologist because it sounds like your bingeing is causing significant problems for you and that you might have related problems you aren’t recognizing. Therapy has helped me. I’ve also found psych meds helpful in dealing with my…

I think counting calories is the much better method. With WW, the risk of under or overeating is just too high. With counting calories, you know that you are where you should be. Also, I’d hate to be punished for choosing 200 calories of chocolate over fruit. I usually pick the fruit, but sometimes I need the chocolate!

I get where you are coming from. I used to think women should stick to 1200 calories to lose weight. I’d try it, get unbearable hunger, and binge. Now I’m losing happily on 1600-1900. I get lots of activity now that I have the energy for it. I do think that lots of people think that 1200 calories is what they should do.…

Why don’t you try using the calories MFP gives you at a modest weight loss goal? It’s free, easy, and you can still fit in foods you enjoy.

I’m currently losing about a pound to a pound and a half a week on 1600-1900, but I’m pretty active. It’s the most enjoyable weight loss plan I’ve ever been on. Yay for everything in moderation!

It could also work if taken before meals by making the consumer so nauseous he or she would be unable to eat.

I had this done. It wasn’t bad at all. I put on some water weight after the surgery, but everything was back to normal within a couple weeks.

The occasional piece of chocolate cake makes me happy. It’s good for my mental health.

Have you had a sleep study done? You probably have sleep apnea. I feel for you! I would focus on setting reasonable weight loss goals and using this site to determine a calorie deficit. You can do this!
