I find I want something sweet after eating when I eat out. Made no sense. I had eaten a larger meal than usual; I couldn’t possibly be hungry. For me, it’s the salt/sodium in the restaurant meal. SO much more than I eat at home. So now, I drink a cup of water fast. And often a 2nd cup, and the sugar cravings go away.

@TerriRichardson112 I’m curious what exercise changes have been recommended for you?

@lesdarts180 I went up 5lbs immediately after two different surgeries…water weight (inflammation believe) As you heal, it is no longer needed & decreases. I think you already know not to diet at this time & make sure you get the calories - and protein - to rebuild tissue. You go into a catabolic (sp?) state after surgery.…

That’s the beauty of it all! We each get to figure out what works for us! I ate more frequently, but less, when I was losing. But now I seem to be fine with 3 meals. I say “Whatever works!”

Happy we have 12 more days in May I am on a downward slow weight loss… Very happy to be making progress. Hydrate! Especially with hot weather coming for many of us. I think my body interprets mild dehydration as hunger & creates “mouth hunger” or cravings. It also has this response with salty foods, restaurant foods/baked…

@themedalist I’m glad! 😂🤣😂 @77tes I understand! And I admire how you can control your calories!! My regular way of eating prior to 2016 was small breakfast & large lunch & large dinner. Now, large breakfast, larger lunch, & smaller dinner. When I was gaining very gradually over the past year, it was a few almonds here, a…

Successfully navigated a 5-day trip away. Two days later, I Now weigh less than when I left. Figured out I should be drinking 9.5 cups of water not 8. Cut out 2nd cup decaf & now am back up to 75 (my weight in kilograms) ounces per day or more. ~9.5 cups [I use two 16 oz water bottles & refill twice. Took my measurements…

If you truly want to hit your health goals, whether it’s losing, gaining, or maintaining, this group works SOME KINDA MAGIC… * Maybe it’s the kindness of its members… * Maybe it’s the encouragement we provide to each other… * Maybe it’s the “3 simple rules” that are the secret to our success… Maybe it’s the proof we see…

I am not a Winner or a Champion, but I accomplished my April goal. My average monthly weight is 2 lbs lower than it was in March! On to May… planning to lose at least 1 pound. (1.8 lbs to go) Congratulations, in advance, to all of you who are doing so well!

Thank you so much @SummerSkier!

@jamcnewman We really are in the same “boat” - floors, painting, windows, even gettin a quote to see if two interior doors can be added so we can heat/cool just the room we are in! We need a home repair/renov support group haha

@jamcnewman Wow! Way to go! I use that method for my walks…just 10 mins..by the end of the block, my auto-pilot from the last 7 years kicks in & 90 mins later I’m back home, having completely forgotten the “just 10 mins” WELL DONE & BRAVO!🎉 You are a SUPERWOMAN!! Maddie Thank you Julie @jamcnewman 💕 Certainly a bigger deal…

You have gotten great advice here. I have done most of the things mentioned. I verrrry slowly changed my eating habits. “Fooled my brain” As I maintained year after year, I found I had really changed … don’t like being overly full…realized salty foods make me crave sweets…and boosts my mouth hunger …switched my 10K steps…

April 27 ✅✅❌ (still no energy to walk even) Not in Winner’s or Champion but weight is fine.

@StrongerJan I’ve been in UAC since 2017 Never had to post cumulative # of pass days Just had to let folks know if it was over 4 at the end of the month!!

✅keep to a meal routine: eat at roughly the same times each day. People who succeed at long term weight loss tend to have a regular meal rhythm (avoidance of snacking and nibbling). A consistent diet regimen across the week and year also predicts subsequent long-term weight loss maintenance ✅go for healthy fats: choose to…
