Usually the weight loss plateau's at some point. Its important to remember that you cannot lose all your weight in 1 month (in a healthy way) if you have been gaining it for 5 years. Patience, persistence and CONSISTENCY are the most important things.

What works for me every time is working out. Even something small like doing a couple of sets of push ups. When I know that Im only wanting something to munch on because of boredom, I will just do some sort of form of light exercise and the appetite goes away. Its also a good boost for metabolism.

Remember, the number on the scale could be deceptive because muscle weighs more than fat. So therefore you losing fat will not necessarily bring down your overall weight - whereas gaining muscle could even bring your weight up.

The only person that should feel worthless is him for making those comments. And you should be feeling good about yourself, especially said you are ok with gaining muscle - so don't make anyone make you feel worthless. No one should have that type of power and control over how you feel about yourself.
