Bought lunch at work: falafel!

Work travel breakfast at the hotel: hot! Oatmeal w dried fruit and a fruit cup. I think we’re doing Mediterranean for lunch while on site w the client today, yay!

First time trying/cooking flat iron steak. It was good! (Butter, garlic and thyme tho, can’t go wrong). Candied carrots (mom made these for holidays when I was a kid: a bit of butter and a bit of dark brown sugar), white rice.

Was planning on actually cooking tonight but feel a migraine starting so keeping it simple, just doctored up a cup of noodles instant ramen.

I always enjoy cooking after a work trip: fettuccine Alfredo w Cajun-spiced shrimp, sides of bell pepper, garlicky green beans, garlicky zucchini w bread crumbs.

My anemia is kicking my *kitten* this week so I’ve only cooked once: tofu, Alfredo, and grapes.

My daily is yorkshire tea with ~0.5 tsp sugar and 1 tsp of half and half. (It really just depends on how long it steeps, I don't like sweet tea but I don't like bitter either!) I also like iced tea (Luizianne!) I drink green tea occasionally.

Tried out my new rice cooker-steamer combo. The rice was good but I’ll have to adjust the amount of water next time. The fish was okay but it was frozen. Brussels sprouts were decent.

Vacation in Boston last week. Ate my weight in seafood and it was fantastic. Lots of New England clam chowder! My fave. Now back in WI and missing abundant seafood options.

Vacation in Boston. Fish and chips from an Irish pub. I think they gave me an entire fish, huge portion! This was my last night there.

Leftover Chinese takeout (veggies) and some tofu I keep in the fridge + garlic sauce. Yum!

Lunch for the next two days: tofu, bell peppers, onions with a nice soy sriracha sauce over basmati rice (yes it’s a bit of a geographical mashup). Good stuff! Though the heat mellows out quite a bit when you cook down the sauce.

Late nights at work due to quality at the end of our release cycle. At least they feed us! Tofu pineapple curry from a local Thai joint.
