That’s a great way to look at it. Looking more at the stress than the food. Mistakes happen. I try to be a learner and not a judge. I can be my own worst critic if I allow myself to dwell on the mistakes.

I usually go off track if I get super stressed

My first time losing weight it took me a few months to line out my calorie/macro/diet plan that seemed to work best for my body. I’d say you are doing quite well so far figuring out what you need. Great job!

I have struggled with not dwelling on my mistakes. Eating poorly one day shouldn’t mean automatically going into a nose dive for the next week. So I have tried to learn to forgive myself, forget it and move on to try to do a better job the following day.

Good morning everyone. Here’s to an amazing day. If you’re working out .. beast it. If you’re resting .. rest well without guilt.

Keto friendly and needing sleep ... if I take a nap today .. how many carbs are in that?

Hi everyone. This is my second time getting healthy. When I was 50 I made a run at my health and lost most of the weight and was in pretty good shape too using Keto and exercise. I then got injured and gained it all back again due to my inability to workout and subsequent loss of motivation. So here I am back at 52 and…

Reading a post that a new MFP friend made on her feed this morning. It was vaguely specific with a hint of mischief and flirt

I’d message her once I’ve gotten home from the first date simply saying .. (name) I had a great time tonight and I’d love to do it again sometime. Telling her what I think while not asking for any kind of commitment or forced response. If she responds in kind then great. If not, that’s okay too. We gave it a shot .. it…

I saw a guy bring a curling bar with about 50 lbs over to the treadmill .. put the bar on his shoulders and run at full speed on the treadmill for 60 seconds .. then get off and do squats right in the narrow walkway. Just loud and annoying with no regard for anyone else. Plus it tore up the treadmill :-/

I also have a 10k step goal everyday. I was surprised to find how effective walking can be for losing weight.

That’s sad. I’m sure there is a solution, but I’m not thinking of one in the moment. That whole thing sounds to me a little more than just a creep who is creeping .. because it sounds like the area itself has more than a few “creepy” things going on there. So you’d think that’s exactly where the creeps would collect.

This is my second time losing weight and I was really struggling this second time through compared to the first time .. and had to think what was different now .. and I came up with one difference. I had zero MFP friends this time around. I was missing that accountability/motivation component. I believe it can make all the…

You can do this! Maybe you could add a few me friends for continued support and you would all benefit.

I guess I am in the same boat as several others here. This is my second time around and have about 55 pounds to lose to reach my ultimate goal. I log everyday and try to comment on everyone’s posts. Feel free to add me if you’d like. Either way, I wish everyone success on their health journey.

Congrats on making your decision to get healthier. I started working out from home when I was 50 by simply walking in my neighborhood. I did that for a long time and got to the point I was asking between 10-15 miles a day on average. I gave up sleep (getting up at 3:45) and most socializing (would walk again at night after…

For me the struggle was finding the diet that worked for my body and my lifestyle. I wanted something that I could do the rest of my life as a healthy option. This is a great place for support and encouragement. Feel free to add me you’d like. Enjoy your journey.

I don’t eat anything before or during my workouts. I only drink a pre-workout drink before and then stay hydrated during with water and electrolytes.

I love eating Keto. I just don’t go crazy with cheese. I get my fats elsewhere .. like avocados. I try to stay around 70% fat, 25% protein and 5% carbs. It can be a struggle at times, but that’s my starting point anyway. Keeping my carbs down is the most important thing .. that and avoiding any sugar as the continued…

Congrats on losing 53 pounds .. wow! I have recently started to lose all the weight again :( .. but at least I am finally serious and I lost all my weight last time using Keto/Paleo/IF and I loved it.

Love the title!! Sounds like you have a lot on your plate and it’s honestly encouraging seeing you not let it all get you down. That’s awesome. I’ve started back losing all the weight .. again .. just a few days ago (seriously anyway) so if you want some encouragement feel free to add me.

I’m sorry I don’t have any advice .. your story is very inspiring!!

I’m 52 and my problem in getting restarted has been my commitment level .. or lack there of. I have been trying for months to get myself motivated again. Hopefully I’m getting back on track and will start seeing a difference soon. It does seem like the older I have gotten the harder it is to get my body to respond :-/
