I really, really, really wanted to like it, but I didn't find it satisfying. It didn't have the flavor and creaminess of real ice cream. I would rather build a half cup of regular ice cream into my plan and fully enjoy it than have a larger quantity of Halo Top. I've learned that, for me, REALLY enjoying small amounts of…

I am on a "drink alcohol only on weekends" pledge to help me keep focused on fitness. Last night my husband opened a bottle of wine. I had one glass, and that was really enough. He had a bunch more, but I was satisfied with one.

The upside? How happier I am in the day-to-day. I feel lighter mentally and physically. The downside? My face feels wrinklier without the extra padding to push it out!

My bra starting getting uncomfortable. I knew it was time to get back on the wagon.

But, this is pretty reasonable, I think. It's well-balanced in terms of food groups and it is so filling. If I have a bowl for a late lunch, my dinner tends to be really, really light. I have to travel for work quite often, and I find myself going to Chipotle often because I know I can get a reasonable meal.

Pretty much anything in a restaurant. God bless the states that require calories to be posted on menus. It really DOES help me to think twice about what I order or about eating more than half of the serving.

I lost my pooch with my first relatively quickly. My second was a C-section, however, and even after 9+ years and lots of trying, I can't get rid of it. Ab work, focus on eating right, and cardio help (some of it is/was just stubborn belly fat) but I have also come to embrace it as who I am. It's not ginormous, and with…

I lost 40 a couple of years back and after a move that made it difficult to stay as accountable, I gained 20 back. I am hoping to drop another 30 to get to where I had intended to be. This all is just a reminder to me that I can't look at any of this as a diet or temporary. Tracking food, keeping a fitness mindset, AND…

Little changes can make big differences and have a cumulative impact. If it is hard to find time for dedicated exercise, try to find ten minute blocks here and there where you can do weight work while watching television or chatting with the kids. Incorporate the kids into exercise by running around with them, having…

Yay on the loss! Keep it up!

If it's not Under Armour, why even bother. </sarcasm> Brands? Really?

Even if you can't pre-log every day, I think it is worth it to spend a few moments in the morning at least thinking through your meal options for the day. It can help you make smarter choices earlier in the day, which gives you some flexibility. For example, this morning I remembered that it is ice cream day in our…

I am sorry that things are so hard right now. It will get easier. Hang in there - you are strong!

Well done!! I think visualization is a great tool. It helps to refocus. Keep up the good work!

I've stayed true to my No Bourbon on Weeknights rule and I have not missed it terribly. And, today in the dining room at work, someone stopped me and told me I'd lost a lot of weight. I haven't really (I've only been back on the full-force wagon of tracking for a week, refocus on fitness for three weeks) but it was a total…

It is normal to feel discouraged, but fluctuations are also normal too. Remember that if you are working out consistently, the number on the scale might not change drastically, but you may feel better, look different, and have your clothes fit better. Definitely keep weighing so you know you are not regressing with…

Over the course of my life I have tried so many different times to work out, but the only time that has stuck is before work. The first three weeks are tough as you adjust. But, if you can get your body used to it, you may find it is easier. It works for me because, 1) if I save working out until later in the day, it is SO…

Clothes shopping - from somewhere other than the back of my closet!

Sure. But so is trying to lose weight or get fit when plenty in the world don't have enough to eat. We ALL have first-world problems to complain about, but most are here to build toward a healthier lifestyle - being snarked at doesn't help.

Maybe if you give yourself something to work toward instead of getting away from something it might be easier? So, Ninja yourself a cold coffee drink at home, and take the $$ you WOULD have spent at Starbucks and put it in a jar every day. If you really spend $180 a month on Starbucks, that's $2100 a YEAR. That could be a…

You can do this! Just remember that each day is a victory, and each day you get a chance for a new victory. Some days will be easier than others. Some days you will be able to stick to your plan and other days might be more challenging. Just remember that each day you get the same chance and you don't have to let one bad…

A small amount of nuts and clementines are my go-to. Also, plain popcorn if I just have a craving to eat.

I love pre-logging when I can. However, I live and work in a school and eat most of my meals in the dining hall (it's great food - mostly healthy - and FREE, so that's not changing). This makes it really hard to pre-log because the menu changes. Also, I know there are often more added oils. So, I have to be much more…

I definitely let my occasional evening bourbon creep into the nightly relaxation routine. I KNOW it impacts my fitness, so I made a conscious effort to just say no. So, now I keep it to Friday and Saturday, and occasionally Sunday. But, I make sure to log it, too. The first week I did find myself wishing I could enjoy that…

Switching to black coffee (a trip to Costa Rica with amazing coffee helped there) Restricting alcohol to just weekends (no more evening glass of bourbon...boo)
