The lifestyle will take care of you. Expect plateaus and plan to be were you are for 2-3 weeks. It is natural. You are doing everything correct. Cutting that beer is tough, but I did that too. Makes a difference. I'm down to about 4 every 2 or 3 weeks during one cheat hockey game lol

I'm going to swear right here. *kitten* the scale. It's just a reference anyways. You had a cheat day, as you well deserve. Now keep up with the lifestyle as per usual. No need to panic, think or fret. Maybe only weigh yourself once a week for starters. Good luck.

Simple answer for me is a hard no. It is more time consuming and work to do it the right way, but you will need to learn that it is a part of your life now if you want to really adopt the lifestyle. Microwave meals to me say "Good enough, right?" I understand we all have kids and lives, but no one said life would be easy.…

Ahem...GO JETS GO! Can't WAIT for playoffs!!

Yes, your body absorbs water. MFP and most people who try to stay sane recommend only weighing yourself once a week. The scale is only a reference. It's the choices you make when you aren't on the scale that matter. Trust me, you'll save yourself disappointment and you will always know where you are (did you lose 2 or more…

On PC I click the person's profile picture and then when the next screen pops up I click the picture again...it's kind of strange.

Keep at it. You are down by 100, not up by 25! Drink copious amounts of water when you get hungry, or portion control during the day a bit more and plan a healthy snack for the evening, like air popped popcorn with some butter. Good luck and remember, it's a lifestyle, not a diet! If you need to cheat once a week, do it.

Just sit down and be honest with him about how it feels. He might feel the same way or not even notice. Either are good things as they can then be addressed and you can move on together, or whatever. You might be surprised at how good it can make you feel. If you feel like he doesn't want to listen, that's when you have a…

He has a Bachelor of Science and runs the lab he is in. There is an opinion. Then there is a scientist explaining the facts of life. But I digress. You have no reason to trust me, I would think less of you if you did. I will continue to benefit from his knowledge as I continue this life, but as I stated, do your own…

I've been dry since I starting using Myfitnesspal about 1 month ago. I only miss it when I watch The Winnipeg Jets play. Stay strong folks.

I trust my cousin, who works at a biology lab at the University of Manitoba when tells me anything regarding the human body. He's such a perfectionist that I've heard my family mention the possibility of him having un-diagnosed Asperger's. I wouldn't trust anyone more than him on the subject. So, no, it's not my opinion,…

I regards to the blood flow, the gist of it is torn muscles require nutrients to grow and rushing those nutrients through the body right after the muscles are torn is very beneficial.

To all the people questioning my Strength before cardio suggestion, this was a tip I received from my cousin, who is a biologist and works out 3 - 4 times a week. He's looked cut for years. But, I just did a cursory look on google because so many people where questioning it. I'm not sure if I can post links here but…

Hey all. I'm pretty new around here. I've only been logging for 29 days now. I'm 37 years old. I started my big lifestyle change on December 1, 2017, when I finally quit sugary drinks and junk food( I was eating the skinny/fat diet...great meal choices, terrible snack choices with fast food sneaking in there too) and then…

Try starting with strength training and ending with cardio. The blood flow to the torn muscle tissue is very important.

I am far from being an expert, but I think you need to eat a bit more to help boost your metabolism. Your body probably thinks it is almost starving, so it is packing away a bit of fat in response, when it can. You could also have lost 5 pounds of fat and gained 6 pounds of much heavier muscle. Stay the course, but eat a…
