Thank you, that's really helpful to hear that you've had to adjust it a bit also! And thanks all! I didn't realize I could manually adjust my calorie goal to a specific number so I might give that a go, or try setting it to lightly active and seeing if that makes a difference.

Yes, I agree exactly. I'm specifically trying *not* to white-knuckle it. I'd like to lose one pound a week because I've done it before rather easily and consistently, but I do so hate seeing all the little red "you've gone over" warning signals, when my body is clearly telling me I've undereaten rather than overeaten. And…

I'm guessing you mean you're waiting for the gym because it'll be included on your tuition, right, and don't have the money to join one now? That's no problem; there are a ton of free resources on YT especially (Fitness Blender, Daily Burn, Yoga with Adriene, and tons of others). Definitely recommend checking those out!

I do something similar but with parmesan on it as well. SO yummy. Zoodles are great too.

8-9 for me. Much less than that consistently and I get really crabby and emotional. I'd really love to need less sleep but doesn't seem like the lot I've drawn!

A bit of everything. First and foremost, I teach (and take occasionally) ballet and modern, so that's pretty active already. I also ice skate regularly in the winter. At home I do a lot of yoga, HIIT stuff for cardio, Pilates, weight lifting, a general mix of things that keeps me active and in dancing shape (athletically…

Roasted potatoes... I mix up olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic (don't skimp on the spices!) in a bowl, then cube up the potatoes (or you could slice them) and dunk them into the bowl. I drain with a slotted spoon and then put them on a pan to roast. If you let them roast until they're just a bit crispy they are oohhhh so…

This is what I just made for my own lunch--I had to sub kidney beans and curry powder because I'm out of black beans and cumin but it was just as tasty as the original usually is. Easy to made ahead and heat from a container. http://www.eatingwell.com/recipe/249544/black-bean-smothered-sweet-potatoes/

It's so encouraging to see other people who aren't following strict food plans and restricting everything under the sun! I thought I was one of the few! Anyways, I try to eat enough fruits and veggies and not too many foods that I know aren't nutritionally dense and call it a day. My Achilles heel is dessert though...…

Here are some of the recipes I've made over the last few months and really enjoyed. I had never really had lentils before we had a vegetarian stay with us for a few months, but I've learned to cook with them and really like them now. https://cookieandkate.com/2017/quick-dal-makhani-recipe/…

Do a three-minute plank... that was the strength benchmark in my college dance program and I could never do it, always bottomed out around 1 minute. Do a real push-up. Do crow pose successfully.

Someone just gave us a thing of Andes mints and I'm loving them. They're 25 calories each, and I turn each one into a dozen bites at least, so it feels like a huge dessert for a pittance of calories. But normally I'll do a piece of chocolate or something, between 50-75 calories. Well... sometimes lol. My sweet tooth is…
