Had a fat glass of red wine tonight and enjoyed it... the difference now is that I'm seeing it as a weekend treat and not a nightly routine. @islandbeez LMAO. Speaking of how you can't say the a-word on here... The first few times I saw the AF acronym on this thread, I read it "as f*".

Can't sleep so catching up on this most excellent thread. (Part of being new on here is simply figuring out where things are, and I keep forgetting to look). @angelacatheart I worked from home for a few years and looking back, that was associated with my weight creep. I foolishly didn't use the chance to work out whenever…

I want my energy and fluid movement back, and to rebuild confidence. @e_fou mentioned being shocked when looking in the mirror. I relate. This morning I took a mirror shot to remind myself and kick my a**... so tired of stumbling at this, wants results!

Certain that ditching my after-wrangling-boys-to-bed wine routine is key to stopping my steady weight creep. Been replacing it with ice-filled tall glass of water + splash of juice. It's crazy how much of a mental thing it is... finding a way to replace that "reward" feeling. Best healthy wishes all.

@tailfeathers24 "The kids get to bed and I can hear the pantry calling my name!" Yes, and the wine bottle sings a duet with it... Curses!

Hi ladies - glad to see this group! Main struggle is a combo of slowing metabolism, stress of juggling home-work-life, evening snacking, and self-doubt feeling so chub and frumpy standing in front of my classroom lately. Fierce 40s, I'm down!

@FedUpApple71 - I've been thinking the same thing... While I can't stand most of the menopause health material I see (just irritating, condescending), must face facts that my metabolism is clearly changing gears

Making me laugh, how we're surprised to be in our 40s. Loving this stage, and yes the time flies! Happy Valentine's Day to all you foxy ladies
