I'll add my $0.02. Yes it is worth it for me. I love the stats along with the no add feature. As was mentioned above... by paying for it, I feel a bit more invested in it. For me, definitely worth it.

Hey! I currently use MapMyFitness to keep up with my running. I have used both. When I had a problem with this, I was told to disconnect the apps from one another and then reconnect them. I'm not sure why, but that worked for me. Good luck!!
