  • Thanks for the suggestions everyone, it was very helpful. So if I am doing this, should I not be concerned with the carbs at all since they are low carbs. Should I try to keep at what MFP has determined for me, or does that not matter?
  • So let me get this right, in order to "volume up" I would mainly just eat vegetables and not any meats at all? I would need to get my protein from shakes? Do the calories not add up in these protein shakes? What about carbs? I am diabetic so I am trying to watch my carbs.
  • It takes time to realise we are full, eat your meals slowly, enjoying and savouring each bite. Listen to the cues of your brain/body telling you that you are filling up. I have been eating slowly, even chewing every bite like 20 x's. You say listen to the cues of your brain telling you that you are full. That's my problem…
  • Recently we went through this with my oldest son. The sores were so bad that they left huge craters in his body. We thought at one point that he might lose his arm, that's how bad the infection was. The first time doctors gave him the usual antibiotics and creams, ect...ect. Then not long after that cleared up he had a…
  • Thanks everyone. The only thing so far that I have eaten that is processed is sliced turkey. I make all my meals from scratch and eat mainly fresh fruits and vegetables and lean meats. I am only over by a few points so that is why I am asking.
  • Hang in there, you have gone through the worst part already. I remember going through that and feeling the same way. I quit in October of this year right after I ended up in the Hospital with a serious upper respritory infection and diagnosed with COPD. The infection was so bad that I could not breathe and I choked every…
  • I was having this problem too. I would start to feel hungry a few hours after I ate. My doctor told me that it might be due to my diabetes, that I was having spikes. I eat dinner around 5, so I allow myself a healthy snack around 8 pm. I also had to allow myself time for my body to adjust to the changes I was making.
  • Hi Kyle, I don't know about anyone else, but for me I just take one day at a time and keep my eye on the prize. I've always been told anything worth having in this life you got to work for, so I work hard at keeping focused and realize that if not today then someday I will be at the weight I want to be at. I think you have…
  • Started at 230, and my goal is to reach 155. Short term goal is to be able to do a complete sit up in which my chin can touch my knees.
  • I haven't seen a dramatic weight loss yet, but I am feeling healthier and I am exercising now without being completely out of breath. I also created a healthy version of zuchinni muffins today to have as a snack and it has been two weeks since I have had chocolate.
