I had one the other day that was for a completely different shop although the same food item with similar nutritional data so wasn't a problem.

Only go to the gym if you are not going to eat extra calories. If you burn 500 calories then eat an extra 1,000 to help fuel it then it will not help your weight loss.

Remembered another favourite so I did it for myself last night, Slow Roasted Tomatoes with Balsamic Vinegar and EVOO.
-
Why aren't you eating back exercise calories Mon-Fri?
-
The quality of ingredients go a long way to making a good salad, make sure the ingredients are all fresh but making sure tomatoes are nice and ripe
-
I use a tinned multi bean salad that is great. I especially like kidney beans in salad

Not everyone works 5 day weeks either.

Is 3.6 calories per watt consistent across all exercise machines? If I am using an elliptical machine at 100 watts will I be burning 360 calories per hour?
-
Even then you probably want to log them separately as the rind is twice as calorific
-
If using MFP calculator then yes, make sure you have your daily activity level set correctly then log your exercise and eat back at least a portion of it. You will probably find that averaged over a week both methods will have a similar amount of calories. Also if you feel hungrier on some days than others there is no harm…

I've been looking for local and convenient beginner yoga classes, I will have to check her out.

LOL I do pushups on the counter as well, I thought I was on my own with that.

I understand the difference, being from the UK maked determining it harder. The site looks like the school to me but I would not know if it wasn't.

I have never suggested that there is a causation between using sweeteners and weight gain just that for some it may make losing weight harder/gaining weight easier. Given the data from the study if I was considering drinking diet soda with the aim of losing weight at the same time it would make me think twice, however I am…
-
As I said the fact that the brain may behave the same way when drinking sweeteners as if drinking sugar was something I had heard of previously, I clearly stated I did not read that article to gain that belief. If the source article is your only concern about the fact then what is wrong with Harvard?
-
Thank you for giving real world validation of what I was suggesting.
-
That depends on the amount of calories eaten elsewhere though. I could easily eat my daily calories for breakfast, lunch and snacks up to dinner time. Whilst I was putting weight on that was exactly what I was doing but eating dinner as well.

I believe at one point there was no credible evidence that the world wasn't flat........ Didn't mean that it was. Again another Harvard report stating the same and stating studies have found results to be negative. I do not have the skills to find the studies myself but carry on and stick your head in the sand and keep…
-
Not sure why you think you are able to determine that about me. Given you are not willing to even contemplate the science then that would suggest you are the one with the bias. If you are happy to drink them than that's great and I have no problem with that, I can see how they benefit those that drink them and I am far…

How have I How have I suggested that you do anything different!!!
-
That is just the first one I saw and I didn't use it to form opinion, if you prefer here is one from Harvard. https://www.health.harvard.edu/blog/artificial-sweeteners-sugar-free-but-at-what-cost-201207165030

And I have not once said there is a direct link........
-
I find it difficult to go between meals without snacking so make sure I have plenty of healthy snacks available. I just make sure lunch and dinner are smaller to hit my goal
-
The drink itself won't but if it stimulates hunger that causes the individual to eat over their calorie goal then it will contribute to it. And even if they don't eat over their goal then it will still have an affect as they would potentially feel more miserable due to having to fight the extra hunger. Obviously not…

My understanding was that the sweeteners make the brain think it is getting sugar and so it starts dealing with the expected sugar intake, when those calories are not received given the body's reaction hunger is likely to occur sooner than it would do. It's not something I care about seeing as I don't like the taste of…

I never said that it would be universal nor was I suggesting it was widespread, I don't touch them either so I couldn't comment on how they effect me. I was responding to someone who suggesting that because it was zero calorie it couldn't have an affect.
-
One advantage I have as well is that I find exercise helps with my depression because of the endorphins so I try to get more in during my low periods which helps with weight loss
-
It's difficult for the brain to tell the difference between sweeteners and sugar so it triggers the body to behave in similar manner so can cause hunger sensation earlier.
-
Love a lot of what other's have said but one of my favourite is mushrooms which I also find quite filling.

I'm on Zoloft at present and if anything it has helped weight loss especially at the beginning because it caused stomach problems and I struggled to eat very much.
