Plans are apparently on the app, at least the iOS app, but not on the web. From any screen on the app, down near the bottom is a little icon that looks like a clipboard and it says "plans." Perhaps that's what you're thinking about?

I have been picking hyacinths to bring inside. Lovely aroma. The first set of cherry branches I brought in is fully open, and the second batch is just opening. I will get one more batch before they're starting to open on their own - maybe two. I should get some sake in case we have a gorgeous day in the next few weeks whenโฆ

@Ihatemyjobmotivation Are you skilled at all with spreadsheets? If you weigh daily and kind of ignore the number and instead look at an average of the last ten days or so, you'll even out some of the wild fluctuations. Like the one I just had - scale is up 3.2 pounds since yesterday. I know it's an anomaly. The ten-dayโฆ

Lifting yesterday made me a liar again. I looked into the pool, and there were three open lanes. I almost went for a swim, but I really had planned to lift. I needed to; been too many days. So I did. When I was done, the pool was full. Maybe I'll swim today. I tried something a little different. For my first set of almostโฆ

@BCLadybug888 Yay!

I got two hours underwater scrubbing and siphoning. It was much needed for my head space - two one-hour dives where I cold work with my buddies but essentially just be enjoying cleaning things up and watching the critters do their thing. I needed that.

Just keep sticking to it. Build better habits. If you enjoy food, don't give up enjoying it. Just make good choices and keep things moderate. Habits.

That is a sight to see. I'm sure you know how fortunate you are to have the skills and capacity to see things like this.

Caraway? That would be a good addition to some cheeses.

@mjbnj0001 - By all means, please ramble on! Back to the original question about protein - yes, it's sometimes tough to get 86 grams from plants. I love to cook dried beans, and they can pack the protein, but they come with plenty of calories. Same with nuts. Keep experimenting. I don't think anyone has posted a link toโฆ

I have been reading about why people add bread to things like meatballs and meatloaf. I've still never made either one. The bread helps keep it moist. So maybe DO add some bread crumbs or oats. The egg can help bind it. Don't expect 5% fat beef to stick together all that much. If you have some bacon fat, you could boostโฆ

Did you get to keep your vehicle?
-
@ninerbuff If you don't mind the cosmetic damage, take the check. Even better, see if you can get an estimate that is a couple dollars less than the value of the vehicle so you don't have to get a salvage title. Then decline the repair and get the insurance company to cut you a check and keep driving an ugly vehicle. I didโฆ

I buy wheat flour without conditioners or any ingredients other than wheat. I can get hard red, hard white, soft white, bread, or pastry flour that don't have anything other than wheat. Look around; you can find it. Check your local food co-op. I buy in bulk so can just buy a bit at a time and keep it in the freezer so itโฆ

@drmwc Us mere mortals need far more rest days than once every week and a half. It's such an important part of the overall routine; bodies need to take some time to recuperate.
-
@AmandaPotechko Most likely your goal of 86 grams of protein is reasonable. How far are you from that goal normally? The MFP fiber goal probably should just be seen as a minimum. It's probably not bad to go over, especially if you're eating a mix of soluble and insoluble fiber. And I am not a dietician, so take anything Iโฆ

Fermentation requires microorganisms. From yeast that makes bread rise and makes beer delicious to the bacteria that ferment sauerkraut, it really just depends on where you draw the line on what is or isn't an animal. Honey isn't an animal; it's essentially partially digested nectar, but most vegans avoid it because of itsโฆ

The sad truth where I live is that perhaps the best pizza is from a grocery store's kitchen. Their slices are quite large; one works for lunch especially when my other option is to skip it altogether. Now I want pizza.... A couple times a year I do a lunch buffet at a place that makes "just OK" pizza. I always regret it,โฆ

How much protein are you getting on average per day? How much do you think you need? How did you determine that this was the right number? The D3 supplement I get at the co-op is "mostly" vegan. It does have gelatin but the D comes from rice bran oil. Your body absorbs the D3 better if you take it with food, especiallyโฆ

Ain't that the truth! I had pizza last week at a kayak club meeting. They ordered far more pies than we needed, and some people ordered their own pies. I did my share trying to destroy those pies, but there was still quite a lot left. The club encouraged everyone to please take some home. I wrapped some in foil and put itโฆ

I'm starting to see some blossoms. I planted some crocus bulbs the fall before last. They bloomed a bit last year, and I think they're doing better this year. A few have opened. I have one daffodil open out back and a bunch more that are getting ready. I can smell someone in my neighborhood has a Daphne. I sure miss mine.โฆ

@SafariGalNYC That's what I call a braised egg. Oil or butter in the hot pan, add the egg, add just a bit of liquid, and cover. I should try it without adding the liquid. The last two times I made eggs on the stove, I skipped the lid. It wasn't because I didn't want a braised egg, it was because I didn't want to wash theโฆ

[@SafariGalNYC Nice job on the egg. Is it braised? I've been a little apprehensive leaving my eggs "not quite fully cooked" lately since I've read that there's a virus that can be transmitted that way. It is still hard for me to let them cook all the way. Today's eggs still had runny yolks even though that wasn't the plan.โฆ

I can't even bike around the block in forty seconds.

For a while when I would input a recipe, the default entry for garlic was something like 1800 calories per clove. For sure you have to choose carefully. Panko bread crumbs are all over the place. I buy it in bulk and had to do a deep search to find an entry that was close enough.
