My gym overlooks the pool in my facility and when I am on the treadmill, I see ALL body types swimming. I can tell you that in two years, I have not seen one person give a second glance at anyone who might be overweight. While it is hard to believe, most people are likely too focused on their own workouts to focus on…

Calorie deficit. You can exercise for two hours a day but if you are not eating at a calorie deficit, you will not lose.
-
Tracking. I don't eliminate anything. I focus on portions and tracking.

If it fits into your calorie plan, then include if it works for you. I suggest pre-logging to make sure it will work in your day.

If they fit in your calorie plan, then go for it.

I love that you celebrate these milestones. Well done!

Amazing! And, I love that top on the right!

You look great as is, and I am sure you will keep going. Well done!

First off, everyone here is amazing, but this made my jaw drop! I hope that every day you tell yourself, "You are AWESOME." Because you are!

Amazing progress! Thank you for sharing - I find these very motivating.

New clothes - especially gym clothes.

Fantastic job! Kudos to you!!

I have belonged to a variety of gyms, and I was a PF member for a while. I loved that there was not a lot of grunting (personal pet peeve...sorry to offend any grunters), I liked the plethora of cardio machines, and I like to do a mix of free weights and weight machines, so it met my needs. The price was right, too. I left…

It's pretty much genetic, but I find it less noticeable when I have been running consistently. Great suit, by the way!

Kudos to you for asking for help and taking the feedback. This attitude will help you in your efforts. Good luck!

Today is not over, and tomorrow is a new day. Figure out where you went wrong and get back at it.

I travel a bit less than I used to, but at one point it was five days a week for ten weeks straight. Portion control, careful ordering, Whole Foods, Panera, [careful] Chipotle, lots of water, and the hotel gym were my saving graces. I also packed healthy snacks to sustain me, as I often had to work through a meal. Every…

I am in the same boat all the time. I work in a school where part of my compensation is a free apartment and free meals in the dining hall. Specific nutrition info is not available, and it's really awkward to bring a food scale in. Sure, I have a kitchen and COULD cook, but the $$ benefit is worth it - especially with a…

Speak back in a foreign language and look confused. Or, just say, "Sorry, on a time crunch to get all my sets in. Have a great day!"

I try not to eliminate all the foods that I love (ice cream) totally. I try to work them into my calorie plan, but with a reasonable amount. If I can have a small portion, I am finding I CAN be satisfied by it. Would that work for you>

Hard to help if you don't share what you are starting with. If your goal is to lose weight, the first place to start is to see how much you are currently consuming and to work toward a calorie deficit. Exercising will help to enhance the calorie deficit, but food is the place to start. That being said, for overall health,…

Do you think they will be unsupportive if you talk to them and share your goal? I think if you are open about what you hope to accomplish it would be best. You would, hopefully have folks willing to help you to reach your goals.

Amazing transformation! You should be so proud of yourself!
-
Well done!

Not if you are in your calorie limit.

Just start. Log your food and exercise. Look for patterns. Keep logging. make adjustments as you can, add exercise when you can. Just get in the habit of logging accurately and consistently. You will learn a LOT from the process.

How are you measuring your calories?
-
23 pounds in about a month? Is that a bit fast?
-
Once a week under the same conditions, if I can.

Best advice is to remember that each day is it's own challenge. Some days you will kick it out of the park, some days you will get kicked in the *kitten*. Remember that one bad day does not have to lead to a bad week.
