Thanks muchly...So do I add both milk AND yogurt or can I do it with either just milk or just yogurt...

Thats the thing though, I enjoy all my classes when I'm in them, I just for some reason can't seem to push myself to go, get changed etc etc. I've booked all my classes for next week and I have promised myself to go to them. Thanks all for your kind suggestions and motivational advice.

@InfoomaousTete Really sorry to hear about your Mum, I do hope your OK. Well done for seeking help and getting yourself back to being you. When you say "I use to go all in or nothing at all", thats how I feel on a daily/weekly basis, I either put my all into it and feel extremely proud or nothing at all and feel extremely…

Wow - this was definitely a forum I needed to see right at this moment in time.... I've struggled with counting calories since around Feb, I go days where I stick to my calorie goal and exercise everyday which happens to be on the days I stick to my calorie goal to then days where I don't stick to my calorie goal, eat…

Well I did it, first run yesterday, I'm doing run two today. I know it says only 3x a week but I'm assuming thats for people who maybe are first starting exercise etc. It was so nice to complete 2.59km without that awful feeling of breathlessness because of the walks in-between.

Thanks for your replies, I'm fairly active, I go to the gym every lunch time and do classes such as bodypump, step, fatburn but the past few weeks I've started to try running again and I've been going on the stairmaster too. I can't wait to try it....I'm off now to give it a whirl.

I know lots of people don't eat back or maybe just eat back a percentage but when I see the "extra" calories there in front of me it kinda just makes me eat more (I believe) and I'm literally getting no where whereas before fitbits I was losing steadily and felt really good, now I just feel fat! Plus I love the gym and do…

Mine was doing this today so I unlinked it from Fitbit and MFP, linked it back again and it worked.
-
Thanks all, yeah I did it, been three times now and will be lifting today, first one was scary but after that first squat I know longer worried about anyone else haha! Wahooo to me
-
I cant ask my previous PT as I’m no longer at that gym :-( boo hoo!
-
It was written by an expert, my PT, I’m just asking can I modify the way I do it
-
Thanks all for your kind motiviation. Do you think I'd be OK then doing a split routine i.e. one day deadlifts, bent over rows, OH press, pullup/pushdowns and then one day doing squats, lunges, split squats? I do feel ever so proud of myself. My upper body feels tired this PM but my lower body doesn't. I felt I could've…

Awww but I want a conventional gym to be for me haha! I am desperate to get in there and do my routine. Its funny because my husband said not long ago "why do you always worry about what other people think of you" haha and its true. I worry they will judge me. How did others overcome this fear?

I didn't mean drop the bar as in drop it so it slams to the floor. In Stronglifts video for the Barbell Row he "takes" the bar all the way down to the floor. It states on the his website "Return the bar to the floor on each rep", thats what I meant by dropping the bar, I probably should've stated he returns the bar to the…

Thank you, I have a fitbit which I use to log workout calories so I will aim to only eat back 50-75% of them. Yes 1lb a week is what I aim for. Thank you
-
I'm currently 11st 13lb and 5ft 3inches. Thanks for responding, shall I set my activity level to sedentary again or lightly active? Did you also eat back your workout calories.
-
Thanks both, I used to do the Bent Over Row with my PT and I do much prefer it. Thanks again.
-
Or from researching the difference between the two, can I replace Strongslifts barbell row i.e. he drops the weight to the floor, for a bent over row where you don't drop the weight to the floor.
-
I have around 28lb's to lose, running it a touch longer is not something I'm worried about at the moment, I'm just happy to be getting back into lifting some weights but also following an actual programme. Of course if my main goal was to gain muscle I'd be more interested in all this cutting/bulking/eating at maintenance…
-
Thanks, I'm definitely going to give this a programme a try. On the rest days can I do cardio/gym classes such as fatburn, bodystep or does it need to be light cardio such as brisk walking, a run etc.
-
Thanks for your response, I'm still reading up on the Stronglifts 5x5, I have heard/read good things about it. I know once I've done it a couple of times I will be fine, its just that first time that worries me haha! I do like the idea of Stronglifts 5x5 though, its a good simple routine and one I feel I could do and…

@ladyshellbelle - Thanks for your response. I too had a PT this time last year and we used to use a couple of the machines too which I did enjoy! Think I'll have a look online and see if theres any weight routines I could start with.
-
I currently just do gym classes at the moment Mon-Friday which range from Tone, Bodypump, Fatburn, Kettlebells, Circuits and I try and do two classes back to back so all in all I do at least 8x classes per week, 10x if I go everyday. I love it!
-
I can do pushups from the stairs but don't have a pullup bar unfortunately
-
@RoxieDawn Thanks for your response. We would do Workout 1 2x per week and workout 2 once per week then the following week do workout 2 twice per week and workout 1 once and so on and so on.
-
Thanks all, I use the Fitbit Charge 2 which counts my steps and I use it to log my workouts when at the gym. I also have my settings set as Adjustments Enabled. I'll stick to the Lightly Active setting for now and see how it goes.
-
Thanks for your response. I will amend my settings then. My steps come from my walk to school/work in the mornings which is around 4k steps, plus walking to and from the gym at lunch, then all the steps I do throughout the day, then any steps I've done in my gym classes.
-
@WinoGelato Thanks for your response, I'm pretty similar to you when you first started your MFP journey, I am 155lbs and 5ft3inches....I am going to stop feeling so bad at eating some of my workout calories back. I put sedentary as I thought that was the norm for people with an office job, I didn't realise it took into…
-
Me too, I recently joined a new gym and they have a Step class and its fab. I too was surprised at how high my HR is during this workout. I love it anyway!
-
Thanks all for your responses, I think from now on (like yesterday) I’ll just eat 50% of my workout calories that fitbit gives me as eating back 50%-75% seems to be what others do. I put I was sendetary because I have an office job, my steps come from the walking to school, work, gym, steps throughout the day etc and I…
