How nice is that! Your hard work is showing, keep it going 😊

To me, it's so worth it to keep logging. I've worked way too hard to let the weight creep back up, so if that means logging, so be it. I choose to be thin.

I'm about ten pounds from my goal weight now, at 149; I'm 5'4". The last few months, it's been up and down because of occasional binge days, but I'm determined to get to goal. I could happily stay at this weight, but want to see how things are at my goal weight. If it's too hard to maintain, then I'll readjust.

Participants in a National Institutes of Health (US) study spent two weeks eating ultraprocessed foods- stuff out of bags, boxes and cans - then another two weeks consuming unprocessed natural foods. On the first part, they gained about 1 pound a week. On the second part, they lost about a pound a week. This was in an…

I started gaining weight at puberty, and was overweight most of my life. When I was in my early 20s, that was the fittest I had been to date. Then I got married and had kids, and got heavy. In March 2018, I started MFP, and have lost 65 pounds. Now, I actually weigh less than when in my 20s, but I feel better since I…

I walk about 5 miles, to the lighthouse and back, 2 or 3 times a week. Other times, I hike about 3 miles a few times a week. I'd be happy to help keep you on track!

IMO, work out whenever is best for you, morning or evening. If you feel good about working out at YOUR time, it'll be easier to stay consistent.

This is how we learn to live, trying to overcome poor eating choices. Sometimes it takes real effort to stay on track, but enjoy life along the way. It is okay to have a treat occasionally, just get back on track as soon as possible. I struggle with portion control too.

Congrats on your weight loss so far. It's taken me over a year to lose 60+ pounds, and I'm about 10 from goal. It is a struggle to keep it going when you're almost there, I hear ya. The other posts give great advice. You've come so far, don't give upnow!

Hi, Kay, this is Ann. I've struggled with food binges for over 40 years, but MFP has helped me to finally get control of my eating, and I've lost over 65 pounds. I still have binges once in a while, but get right back on track as soon as possible. Those last ten pounds to lose have been a real struggle bcuz of occasional…

I've had underactive thyroid for almost 25 years. It took three years to get the dose right, but now it's stable. I was surprised that my dose stayed the same after my losing 65 pounds, but I'm okay with it. Exercise was the key to losing, for sure.

My style has definitely improved. Now that I'm slimmer, I can find a great selection of good-quality clothes, and I really care about how I dress now. Before, it was t-shirts and sweats, and now it's skinny jeans and cashmere sweaters!

Beautiful post!

I'm sorry you are dealing with this. How does he react if you mention his weight? Does he talk about his weight loss in conversation? Talk to him about your feelings, and maybe ask him how he feels about it. Good luck.

Moving Comfort is the best sports bra I've ever had.

Check local for sale websites, we have Craigslist here in U.S. Also, check any gym that is selling used commercial units.

I can't count how many times I've started to lose weight and gave up, but this time, I'm changing my mindset. This is the way I live now; diets are temporary. Give yourself a break, it won't happen overnight. Track, watch your portions, and you'll get there. I'm in your corner.

You're on the right track. Take it one day at a time, or one meal at a time. Watch portion sizes, and you'll get there.

I have had great luck at thrift stores and consignment shops, and Goodwill, as long as I focus on high-end brands and classic styles.

My original goal was 150. That was the thinnest I had ever been, as an adult; I was heavier in high school. Once I got under 160, I reset my goal to 138. My ideal weight is around 140, but a few pounds less gives me some wiggle room.

My treadmill calculates about 170 calories for a mile walking at 4mph, but that's for a 185 lb person.

I work full time at a desk, too, but at home. If I'm busy, snacking is not an issue, but if I have down time, man it's another story. I walk or hike most days after work, and work around the garden. There's a gym going in about a half-mile from here, opening in the fall, so I'm planning on joining. So far, I'm down almost…

I'd be pleased to add you as a friend. I'm so happy to have found my MFPeeps!

It's taken over 15 months to go from 213 to 144 pounds. My focus was primarily tracking, less so on exercise. I'm almost at goal (138) so it's coming off more slowly now. I wasn't really concerned about how long it would take, it took a long time to get heavy, so I knew it wouldn't come off overnight. Keep up the good…

My "Walk" playlist includes U2, Sting and Nickelback, plus assorted 80s songs. My fave is "Simply Irresistible" by Robert Palmer, it really gets me going.
