  • I feel like I could have wrote this post myself! You have a very similar body type to me, I always see myself as a 'skinny fat'. I have been trying to get rid of my last little 'bulge' for years now. I think we can all be over critical of ourselves but sometimes you've got to take a step back into reality and look at…
  • Where I used to work I had a manager that criticised everything I ate, bearing in mind she was an unhealthy weight and I am a size 8 (UK size). One day I got out my lunch box and took out my 15g of peanut butter... she looked at me and said 'You know you shouldn't eat peanut butter, its extremely fattening'. I was so…
  • I know exactly how you feel. I used to go to a women's only gym for the same reason. However I do use the main weight training gym now as I am able to train with my boyfriend with me (I wouldn't have the confidence to go in there if I was on my own though.) I feel like i need the food i've eaten during the day to give me the fuel for the gym, i feel weaker if i work out in the morning. I make sure i go straight from work though because I know if i go home first then…

  • What hotel are you staying at? I'm pretty sure most of them have gyms. I've been twice and both my hotels had gyms which i used to make myself feel less guilty. Stay clear of the heart attack grill! Enjoy yourself is the main thing!
  • Thank you both for your replies, this has given me things to think about. I have edited the post to include my height. I am worried about increasing my calories. After loosing weight i'm afraid of putting it back on.
  • 1200 calories a day is way too low. I learnt the hard way. I would try 1500
