Thank you SANDY. The wind storm really was quite frightening at its height. We've all survived. Although I believe one man was killed by a tree branch and a school bus full of little kids narrowly missed being crushed by a large tree it said on the local newscast. Thank the Lord! Anne.

I've tried again, just for fun Anne

JACKIE!........Welcome home, and boy don't you look one happy contented girl! I bet you get a great big welcome from George and the puss cats. (Sounds like a rock band!) Hugs from Anne.

Yes, my posts on the previous page SANDY. I did send you the storm video, but I guess it didn't work? We seem to be in one piece which is quite a miracle! Anne.

Just a quick note from me because I've got the urge to spring clean. Drapes to be washed etc. That was some storm yesterday, the worst wind storm I have ever been in with winds over 100 miles per hour. My back yard is littered with strips of blown off shingles, but they don't appear to be mine! The worst I've seen on our…

Not a lovely day at all LIN. Tremendous wind with loud bangs and crashes, trees bending and garbage cans flying everywhere. Mikes just driven home and says he's never seen anything like this. I've got a video of it which I'd love to show you, but don't know how to transfer videos from photos. Thunderstorms are next…

We've woken up to another gloomy, doomy rain filled day. Flood warnings in place. Jill is in bed because she thinks it's still bedtime. And me? Well of course on such gloomy days I get into mischief. Armed with a pair of scissors I had a good old hack at the so called modern look that Marie the hairdresser gave me and am…

Well.... we've got the same as everybody else. A gloomy doomy rainy day! It's positively black out there. I feel for JOHN and BUZZ because my sciatica is really painful as well. Jilly is doing fine, chewing on her crocodile stick as we write, although trying to get the little monkey to eat something before going to bed is…

No blood tests SANDY. Just about everything else! She was pretty confident that it was all the long hours between eating that caused the bile build up. I was worried about all sorts of things of course, but after close examination and much tummy prodding she assured me that Jilly is still very young, and also very lively…

I wonder what today will bring. Well, heat for sure! Right now 68 deg and going up to 82 this afternoon. It's like culture shock after the freezing ice storm of 10 days ago. Jilly Bean has just been chewing on her crocodile meat chewy bought at the vets yesterday. How's that for justice for all 8 lb dogs! Of course she…

Reminds me of Newfoundland - your latest lovely photo JACKIE. Beautiful. Hope you find your sea legs on a rocky crossing. It's gone so fast your trip. We've just got back from the vets. I was rather worried because my normally healthy looking Bean has been throwing up bile overnight every 3 days or so. She is not a greedy…

You know BUZZ, I'm beginning to wish I'd taken a before picture of the mums before they started sprouting green leaves on the seemingly dead stalks, and then an after. I didn't expect them to make it last Friday. It's true about the smell but then you don't notice when blooming outdoors. It's the same with hyacinths.…

Gorgeous JACKiE! Instead of "wish you were here", I wish I was THERE! The weather here is beautiful today. I've just watered my ill gotten mums but when I was out with Jilly I noticed that the Church had two planters on their front steps on either side of the door, full of branches bearing catkins. Hope they ARE actual…

And I remain the same weight, but the needle is twitching, downwards! Anne.

Good morning everyone. We are promised 78 deg this afternoon. Summers here methinks. Anyway it's strip the bed and big wash day so I will probably pop my nose in again later. MFP behaving itself today. No problem as in whipping back to page one or hiccuppy typing. Even the world seems to be calming down. Mind you I haven't…

A miracles happened. Truly. A Miracle. We went for our long walk and remember the chrysanthemums I rescued from the garbage truck on Friday, just dead stalks seemingly. WELL, they've got new green buds, the frazzled leaves are plumping AND there's a flower bud! Unbelievable! Poor Jilly. She's back to cooked chicken…

Hi JACKIE, so happy to read you are enjoying the scenery and the good food, but mostly enjoying being spoilt for a change! Plenty of time to worry about the pound club when you arrive home. Point taken about salmonella LIN. I am extremely careful when feeding the little Bean and myself if it comes to that. I've never had…

Question. Does anyone feed their dog raw chicken? Jilly goes wild when I cut up her chicken before cooking. I've just done an experiment. I gave her half cooked chicken and rice mixed with half raw chicken. She discarded the cooked chicken and removed it outside her bowl, and only ate the raw. In the wild of course,…

Hello, pouring with rain here which should be good for my reclaimed plant treasures! I bet JACKIE is having the time of her life. I hope she is, she works so hard she deserves a break. Funnily enough and coincidentally I am reading a book about a Norwegian serial killer at the moment. Mary Jo dropped it off with a few…

Well, I wrote quite a long piece and again it blanked out and went back to the very first MFP logo. So.....I lost my words of wisdom or whatever. Here we go again ! Basically, The Bean and I went for our morning walk and outside the church on our corner, someone had chucked out dried chrysanthemum plants minus their…
